I was under the impression that Star Wars is just distributed by 20th Century. However, Lucas, under Lucasfilm, still owns the rights to Star Wars. Therefore, 20th Century is allowed to distribute it, but cannot use it however it saw fit, including using liscensed material in other works.

Apparently it's perfectly legal to use known trademarks as pop-culture references. Maybe they need permission but that's easy to do (I mean how MANY episodes of Farscape had pop-culture references, specially to Star Trek or Wars?)

Yeah, I just meant though that just because two things are distributed by the same company, that placing stuff from one to another isn't that easy.

Though it is true that pop-culture references are allowed. I just meant that you aren't going to see Luke whining about power converters anytime soon in Buffy.

Not quite. She had to use a Satanic temple for some reason. Odds are to amplify her own power.

Also, Darth Rosenberg's preferred method for destroying the world was painfully slow compared to the Emperor's or an ancient Sith Lord's. She sat there for quite some time, and apparently no one was affected by whatever she did with the temple. Comparatively, Palpatine summoned up a Force storm that ravaged a fleet of ships at a whim.

Yes while this is true, Glory had no real magic abilities herself. Let me explain that; she couldn't manipulate magic like Willow. Glory was super strong and indestructable, and all Willow managed to do in 'Tough Love' was piss Glory off, and Glory just laughed at her and taunted her. In the end Willow ran out of steam and was saved.

However Darth Rosenberg is a hell of a lot more powerfull, when she went up against Ripper, she almost lost. Quite honestly Ripper aint no Darth Sidious. So that's why I say at my most optimistic a draw, but in reality (once again using the term loosley) Darth Sidious would probably walk out a winner. I mean he might be able to absorb Dark Side energy like Yoda in AOTC, but use it to power himself even more!

Remeber Yoda's warning to Luke in ROTJ; Do not underestimate the powers of the Emperor, or suffer your father's fate you will.? While I doubt that we will actually see it, I always thought that Anakin tried to kill the Emperor, and he failed because once Anakin tapped into the Dark Side, the Emperor was able to subvert his powers. Just a theory at this point that doesn't look likely but, you get the idea.
