Are you talking about that new Console Shooter StarCraft: Ghost that isn't even out yet? Or is this a book of some sort? Do you have any solid numbers to pin on the "insane speeds"? And when did they get Psi-Blades? Xenomorphs also have those nasty, nasty tails, and Xenomorphs are quite strong. I'd bet it wouldn't take too terribly long to work their way through the armor if they're already in melee range.I doubt that the Aliens could penetrate the armour of the Marines by just with their claws. If the Marines were carefull and kept their visors lovered they could fare just fine.
Okay, but what would they be issued in lieu of their primary weapons? Grenade launchers are right out as are their rifles, which are inherantly anti-armor. Just about all you've got left at the Firebats and maybe the Ghosts.In this scenario i think that the marines would find out about the reactor cooling system before going there, since it was a stupid fuck up from Gorman to send the Marines to there without knowing that the shots would break the cooling system.
