Bah, I pointed that out last week. So why was the Wraith freaking Tayla out for no reason?

Anyone getting this feeling that reinforcements from SGC will be coming to Atlantis after they fixed the whole timeline bungle up and getting that ZPM operational?
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

That's a rather silly distinction. They're intelligent.

Well, since they said that that is exactly their intention in the SG1 episode...yeah?

Quite possibly... though that'll be most interesting, as if the alternate-SGteam manages to rescue the normal SG-team, the normal people will be effectively erasing the alternate timeline... or whatever.... *shrugs* Or will they? *head hurts*

Not really, but I thought I would point it out.

All the other team needs to do is tell the "real" SG1 not to leave the time machine where they did.

For the sake of discussion, I vote that the SG team from "our" reality be SGAlpha and the other be SGBeta.

I wonder if the people involved in SG1 are Robotech fans. The Daedelus and Prometheus are the ships attached to the SDF-1. I'm sure it has been pointed out before, first I have heard of SG1 naming the second ship.

They're also the names of Titans who gave great gifts to mankind.

Daedelus was the stupid kid who melted his wax and feather wings off by flying too close to the Sun, not a titan.

No, you're thinking of Icarus. Daedalus was his father.
Is it a crime to try and learn the truth? Is it a sin to search for those things which you fear? My purpose in this world is knowledge, and the dissemination of it. SG-1: Loved that scene on the puddle jumper, where Carter is warning all of them not to mess up the timeline. Laughed when she emphasized the point to O'Neil.

Nice to know Daniel would end up teaching english to a class of foreigners. :P

We sorta got to see Ra! Kinda. Why didn't they just stun the Jaffa that were surrounding the puddle jumper? I loved the last scene, with them lowering the gate down. The McKay caemo indeed rocked. 8)

Atlantis: Fucking hell, that was a great episode! You could feel the near hopelessness of the situation. The only weapon that could stop the incoming Wraith fleet is gone. They're not sure if the Alpha Site is safe or not and ontop of that, they can't be sure if destroying Atlantis will stop the Wraith from reaching Earth. It was interesting to see Shepard's darkside. He had no qualms about torturing that Wraith.

I have to wonder though, why don't they just work that one civilization that was trying to build fission bombs? They might forgive Atlantis for pissing them off. Alternativly, I would've gone and stolen the ZPM from that one village. It might have enough juice to get the city's weapons working.

Because there were a ton of Jaffa there?

The Genai (no clue how to spell it) hate them. They already invaded Atlantis and they foiled a plot to get a ZPM.

How much you guys wanna bet the reason that Ra took the gate was because O'Neill made the uprising a bit more... unpleasant?

They've referenced Star Trek and Wars before, and I'm sure there have been some references to B5 and/or other series-- I know Jack's a Simpsons fan-- but the Daedalus/Prometheus reference is probably more with the mythology angle in mind. Not that it hurts, though...

Yeah, when I saw the previews for this episode last week, I realized that SG-1 might have had a hand in the rebellion.
