Hmm....on more careful consideration there are two plans that appeal.....

1. Steal transportation.
2. Gather basic melee weapons, steel shod quarterstaff and flails.
3. Grab a couple of my cohorts
4. Turn on some Manowar
5. Drive round collecting glass bottles and petrol
6. Mix cocktails for me (corellian blue) and for them (molotov).
7a. Head to nearby yacht club, steal yacht and sail to one of the nearby islands and secure it using above mentioned molotovs.

7b. Head for the city blowing up some shit along the way
8. Visit natural history museum and get properly kitted out....
9. Spend time grinning over axe-shotgun hunting weapons and other items....
10. Get more entertaining items from university chemistry labs
11. Mix up more intresting toys....
12. Continue heavy metal/killing/drinking spree
13. Try to pick up some chicks.....
14. Resume spree....

Board the windows/doors to buy time, carry all the non perishable food upstairs, fill bathtub with water, move all but one gun/weapon up the stairs and then tear the stairs up and wait it out.

Considering that there is no way I'm going to be able to 'break into' a military compound and suddenly have acres of weapons and the knowhow to use them, nor do I have magical powers or access to anything remotely interesting...

It would boil down to my friends, our cars, and a long getaway.

But in the shortest term it'd be the legions of the undead standing between a six and a half foot tall righteously pissed off German motherfucker with a forty-pound axe - and his car.
Note: I'm semi-retired from the board, so if you need something, please be patient.

My attic is perfect for this scenio. I have to get in with a ladder and once I've brought the ladder up no way a zombie can get me. Of course the main problem is that a big city isn't to far away from where I live and losts of my family and freinds live down there. So I have to try to get them out. :( :D

I'll post that later after classes.

How about Molotov cocktails?

After all they're scared of fire.

Might be useful.

Let's up the ante a little.

What if it was the trioxin zombies from the Return of the Living Dead movies were the ones that were rising and attacking humanity?

Would anyone's plans change at all?

They can run.

They retain their full cognitive functions.

Most weapons are useless. Head shots don't work agains these bad mothers.

They go around screaming "Brains!"

But then you can't have the fun of taking up a broadsword and slicing the Zombies to pieces!

Swords...hehehe, nothing like getting up close and personal with one's enemies, especially when they are slower.

I dont mind them versus people who think they're faster either.....it isnt just speed that counts power (not strength) and accuracy count just as much.

For those who thing they'll raid a military base...

Assuming there's no resistance (HA!), the easiest thing to raid is the motor pool. So long as you have bolt cutters, you're good to go. The trucks don't use keys, and spare diesel should be available within the motor pool. If you're lucky, they'll have a full fuel pod, which gravity feed.

The likelyhood of successfully raiding the weapons rooms is pretty slim, as they are kept under heavy lock and key. Even more so for ammunition. If you don't have access to heavy metal cutting equipment, you're shit out of luck.

I have ample guns, food and ammunition to last until the gang and National Guard firepower of Philly can be brought to bear to crush the zombies. Though as it is the high population density and corresponding rates of gun ownership and police forces would keep my town safe.

Your only at risk if you [1] In an area that has a fairly low population density, [2] are unarmed

1. Gather together trusted friends/family and all the ammo and weapons we can spare (357 magnum, truckload of shotguns, ammo up the ass...etc).

2. Secure helicopter and trusted pilot.

3. Setup base in large indoor shopping mall with all supplies (make sure it has solar power as backup).

4. Park 18 wheelers in front of all the entrances and exits, land Chopper on roof.

5. Wait out the storm. If things get too bad, high-tail it out of there and find an island.
