A headshot from an antimatter rifle is survivable by a character of 10th level(LOL!!!!).
But Nitram seriously you actually are applying things that have real value(A Lightning bolt and extrapolating from that)
I'm talking about, guys arguing because said character can take up to five hundred gunshots...thus he can survive the collapse of the known universe.
There's obviously a difference, but there are quite a few who demand I not use the game statistics(Fine in most cases, but in AD&D, that's going against stated canonicity policy). Obviously, mortals can fall to modern weapons if they hit, but I've had people claim a Lich should fall to a Marine just because they have a large weapon.
The lich wouldnt fall to a marine
Marine: AHHHHHHH! *opens fire*
Lich:*looks at bullet holes* What bitch I am undead! Do you honestly think I have organs to damage? Kasst kirrinan glast *marine dies amid screams of pain*

I see literally because Cloud/Squall/Zidane/Tidus gets hit by a bullet for only 60/75/80 damage...this must mean at 9999 one could take up to 100+ bullets....no sweat.
And the less said about bosses the better.

There's at least one case I know of where someone died from shock after being hit in the hand with a .22 bullet. The mind does strange things that way, so dying of arm and leg hits isn't all that farfetched. Theoretically, total destruction of the heart will still allow someone to fight for several seconds before the remaining oxygen in their brain is depleted (from an FBI article on bullet wounds I was reading out of morbid curiousity.) Your brain will usually say "stick a fork in me, I'm done" before that point, but adrenaline and/or drugs can keep you going. (It might be the best theory as to the performance of fighters in games like UT or Quake: I sure as hell would not be in that arena fighting without being on something.)
I read a case where two guys shot an elephant with a .22 and it died later that day from the wound. At least they got caught and persecuted for doing it.

I said repeteadly. As in, if the first shot in the left foot doesn't kill him, just keep shooting at it, he will eventually die.
Are you saying that repeated shots at the same hand or foot has a 100% mortality rate?

You could take on the entire Ge if you were a good enough pilot in xvt
True. I took down a MonCal Cruiser in a standard TIE/ln once (took me over an hour and a LOT of fancy flying, but I did it).

killing most capital ships in XWA is very easy. The gunners are simply unable
to hit a target moving faster than 90. It can be done in other games to but
it is a bit harder there. I can kill an ISD2 in less than 7 minutes with a T/F
in XWA. A CRS takes a minute or two longer.

The target would eventually bleed to death....or simply go into shock from having his foot turned into swiss cheese...

I find it funny that in alot of RTS games a tank can operate at 100% effectiveness after taking 99% damage, and then get hit by a single infantry round and blow up from it.
Or how that same tank got down to 1% strength from getting hit repeatedly by low-caliber maching gune fire. Using that logic, if you poke someone enough times in the thigh with a spoon, you'll eventually knock down their 'hitpoints' to where they'll be perfectly fine (maybe annoyed though) right before you poke them a final time, and then they drop dead and go "Aaaagh!!".

No, just do it more times. You only took out 3 hit points, so keep trying.
So does that mean 20 spoon jabs equals a .22 pistol round? Is that how KE transfer works? I'm confused.

Cops aren't very good at climbing stairs. In fact, they can't do it. You can sit up on a rooftop with a rocket launcher, rain death and destruction onto the mortals below, and have only a police helicoptor to fear.
Apparently Cops become somewhat psychopathic when in hot pursuit. They will kamikazee themselves into a suspected felon's jacked vehicle with reckless abandon, often times at the expense of innocent bystanders.
Given the constant shootouts between police forces and gangs, the local Mall can easily be mistaken for the OK Corrall.
Cops pay no attention to drivers with heavily damaged vehicles speeding dangerously into oncoming traffic, despite the obvious threat to public safety. Once the paint job on the ol' police cruiser is scratched up however, the situation changes dramatically.

Additional GTA: The cops vehicular kamikaze efforts will continue regardless of police presence on the ground surrounding the criminal shooting him with automatic weapon from point blank range
No one except cops locks their doors while driving, or reacts to gunfire until it hits their vehicle.
It is impossible to put more than 22 different objects in your backpack, no matter what size they are.
This same backpack can carry hundreds of suits of plate armor, as long as most of those suits are identical.
Your average soldier walks around with a sword in the right hand, a shield in the left, a bow in the other hand, and a lantern in the last hand.
You can fall in pits of lava, get raked by dragon claws, get hit by mana storms that shatter walls, and the clothes you are wearing will survive perfectly intact.

There are two ways a bullet will kill you. The first is central nervous system trauma, which requires a hit to the brain or upper spinal column. The second is loss of blood, and as I stated even total destruction of the heart at once is *theoretically* not instantly fatal. Shock would only be a complicating factor that would cause you to bleed to death while unconscious. Like Coaan said, I'd expect that shooting someone enough in the hand or foot to leave a bloody stump *would* be relatively lethal: I can't recall the last time I ever saw a tourniquette in an FPS game.
