Worse than movie videogames?
The novelisation of Baldur's Gate is an artifact of such malevolence and evil that men go mad merely being in the same room as it.
Hey, I have it, BG2 and even BG2 - Throne of Bhaal. Well, I had them before I managed to dump BG1 on someone who actually asked for it despite my warnings, and TOB slithered away and laid a nest somewhere.

You want truly terrible? TOB is that, but even worse is the Planescape Torment novel. It can be summed up as such:
They gave The Nameless One a name.

Yeah....
Still, despite reading them all, even the Pools of Radiance (New one) novelization, I feel fine, really. Come closer so I can show you...

Didn't the sequel basically revolve around Irenicus being a minor bit character while the hero fucked jaheria and Imoen got all lesbian with a drow priestess?
I don't remember about Irenicus being a minor character (although he wasn't the cool and arrogant manipulator of the game, but rather a gloating and giggling maniac); but yes, Imoen does engage in sexual activity (at least it is heavily implied) with Phaere of Ust Natha. But the protagonist doesn't have sex with Jaheira, but with Bodhi.

Yes, with Bodhi. Who likes to make her shirt wet so that breasts show better. For some reason, I don't remember that from the game.
That reads like bad fanfic...who was the author of that excrement?
Philip Athans wrote the loathsome novelization of Shadows of Amn while Drew Karpyshyn wrote the slightly better novelization of Throne of Bhaal.

^Thank you. I will stay away from them in the future then.

A decision must be made in the life of every nation at the very moment when the grasp of the enemy is at its throat. Then, it seems that the only way to survive is to use the means of the enemy, to rest survival upon what is expedient, to look the other way. Well, the answer to that is 'survival as what'? A country isn't a rock. It's not an extension of one's self. It's what it stands for. It's what it stands for when standing for something is the most difficult! - Chief Judge Haywood
