Tried to post a pic, but my dumb ass can't figure it out even with some help.....
Any way, my futuristic ship.
ATHENA CLASS GUNSHIP:
Length: 91.5meters.
Decks: 5
Crew: 36 officers and crew
General description: almost submarine like in apperance with a block like middle section and a shrouded engine section with four fins extending out the end. Slung under the nose is the weapons and the nose and the aft end is heavily armored.
Weapons: 1 Pulse Plasma Cannon(PPC), 2 forward facing torpedo/missile launchers.
Engines: Fussion/Plasma engine with a "after burrner" second stage system. SpaceTime Gravity Slide Drive system w/ enviromental hookups, various manuvering thrusters.
Defense and Enviromental: Incorparates the SGSD gravity effect for internal gravity and acceleration comansation. Outer hull is armored and designed to spread out all kenitic attacks limiting the actual damage to the vessel and a gel coating to spread out exess heat of either the drive system, local heat sources, and or weapons fire. An EM field is projected around the ship to protect from harmful radiation with the extra bonus of deflecting some of the energy of weapons fire, but not all or even close to all.
Basic tatics is to Slide into a system and coast into range of a target. Using passive systems to target a ship and launch a barrage of 2 to 4 missiles at the target either killing it or damaging it. Exfiltration is accomplished with it's oversized sublight engines to get it out of counter attack range and escape back out of the system. The pulse cannon that give the name "gunship" to the Athena is a hold over from older naval traditions, but can be used to harrass a target or discourage a counter attack. Can be used as a point defense as well.

I envision a wheeled Urban Combat Vehicle with 6 wheels and a powerful motor and suspension built to allow smooth travel over rough terrain and rubble such as is found in an urban combat environment. It would have run-flat tires and thick armor to prevent damage from infantry-fired missiles/antiarmor weapons. It would be able to carry a squad of troops, and would mount 2 rapid-fire 25mm cannon in a traversing turret. You could also accessorize the shit out of this vehicle and fit it with hull MGs and flame throwers or grenade launchers. Full NBC protection included.

Basic training ~ 2 Years
Academic training ~ 5 Years (equivelent of doing a Bsc and Postgrad/Msc) usually in tactics, startegy logistics engineering etc.)
Advanced Millitary training ~ 3 Years Specialist and divesified training programs.
Cybernetic mental enhancement (should you be interested)
10 years basic service (garrisons etc)
5 years 'front "line"'
Optional exit and retirement
possibe Nco promotion
15 year term cycle
Standard armour (this is not a genuine exoskeleton, though these are used for actual front line combat, when humans go near the front line)

Most of the Order's more conspicuous weapons had been stripped and replaced with those more standard to this galaxy, premium cannons replaced by anti-matter cannons, mass-drivers replaced by heavy glaser, pulse autocannon replaced by glaser gatling. The Void Missiles had been taken out and replaced with Extended Ranged Capital Missiles. Even the railjet arrays had been replaced with heavy counter-missile batteries. The Symmetry Engine had been changed to the vastly cheaper Hyperdrive. Even the ECM and sensor suite had been modified to be as similar to those of the Pure Lands as possible. The result, the Type R, is a surprisingly effective combatant and had yielded much useful information for future ship designers and engineers regarding the integration of Pure Lands and Order technology. Taken at puberty say 14 and trained for 4 years on a High Gravity Planet.
training consists of various strenghtening exercises and stand drill exercises.
From there move them on to a high security plantet when they are 18 where they are taught how to adapt to almost any kind to situation via VR. Teach the recruits how to opperate in any enviroment from zero g to 3 times normal G.
Equipment consists of enclosed armor kinda like a 40K Space marine but not so bulky.
Standard lasgun with single shot or ful auto settings.
As a back up a pistol with a mini replicator so re-loads never neccesary (think serrious Sam)
the helmet will have a direct link to the brain via borg style neural interface so the hud of the helmut can automatically define threats and assign them prioraties. also direct link for the teams to talk to each other.
Armour will consist of strong but light ceramics/plasteel capable of withstanding anything up to one lasgun blast. will have built in HAlflife stle medcapabilities. and be completely sealed.
Squads will work in groups of 12 split into 2 teams, once commanded by the Sargent the other by the Corperal. each team will have one heave weapon specialist armed with a plasma rifle capable of incinerating a building in one shot, resf of the team will be grunts.

Anti-torpedo systems: 90 gatling mass drivers, 14,000 RPM, 125 single kt UV lasers, capable of independnent or coordinated operations directed by the ship's central AI.Note: Pseudomatter is "packets" of hyperspace, normally expelled into realspace by the presence of a starship in hyperspace (preserving conservation of mass/energy). It's extremely disruptive to real matter or antimatter, but is usually very widely dispersed. A mass of pseudomatter equivilant to the mass of the starship that entered H-space will be spread out in neutron-sized packets across the entire flight path of the ship. Curiously, the pseudomatter "bread crumbs" will trace the exact flight path of the ship through realspace instantly, arriving at the starship's hyperspace egress point hours before the ship actually does, perfectly predicting any unexpected course changes by the ship. When the ship returns to realspace, the pseudomatter disappears. Yes. But compared to all the others mentioned here, mine is nearly silent and invisible. Range(Which I didn't mention.. Bad me) is about 3AU, or 24 Lightminutes max, so it'd be sitting well out of normal engagement range for these. The major Cybernetic implants are mostly enhanced memory capacity. so if they are parachuted {ok thats a reduntant term} they will remember exactly where everyone landed. They don't use it much. The bit that does the work is the disruption feild. It is basically a strong localised AG feild so if you slash someone's neck, their head flies off instead of merely cutting a large hole in the neck. Or if you punctre a lung instead of being a small wound it creates a huge one. The monomolecular part is only really to help in penatrating soft armour such as mild steel. They have a sharpening device in the sheath
