I haven't seen any of her other movies, but in the Transformers movies she gave exactly the performance that her material deserved. An exceptionally brilliant actress might have been able to elevate those scripts into something watchable, but I don't see why we should hate an actress just for not being exceptionally brilliant.

Sometimes the material you have is, well, what you have. We can all pretty much agree that Natalie Protman is a very good, some may even say great actress, but with the godawful dialouge she had in the SW prequels... Megan Fox played the girl she was supposed to play fine. It's not like it was a role you could really sink your teeth into. I also don't think that anyone is under the allusion that a large part of that role was to be fucking hot.

Megan Fox was to give the protagonist a generally considered hot girl to at first pine after, win, and feel cool about. The both of them existed as kind of pets with some reason that Bay made Spike to be really, really, really...usele...important. Given how absolutely blech the human cast is, your mileage will vary, but losing her is a loss for scenery.

I liked her at first when she was first introduced to us in transformers... but then she opened her mouth. In interviews she acts like such a snobby, anti-intellectual, spiteful bitch. Her performance in Transformers 2 just seemed dull to me too don't know why, I would have to rewatch 1 and 2 side by side to come with a decision.

Looks like a lingerie model is transforming into a lead actress.

According to Access Hollywood, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley will replace Megan Fox in the third "Transformers" movie, and she will be playing a new love interest for Shia LaBeouf's character.

The 23-year-old British hottie has apparently never had an acting job before (according to her IMDB page), but she has had plenty of experience posing for the Victoria's Secret catalogue. In 2009, she was named "Model of the Year" by ELLE Magazine.

Gemma Arterton, Ashley Greene and fellow model Brooklyn were also reportedly in the running for the role, but according to an earlier story from TheWrap, Rosie won over approval from Steven Spielberg, executive producer of the "Transformers" franchise, which made her frontrunner.

'Transformers 3' is set for release in summer 2011.

So between a hot actress, or a hot lingerie model, they went with the model. LMAO. It will be hilarious if they still try to portray Sam as some kind of geeky everyman in this movie.
