You know, the one shaped like a golden, naked woman with wings and a fighter bay between her legs? Tasteful, it probably isn't, but a thousand generations of men could probably agree that it has very pleasing lines.

Entschuldigung, Herr Thanas. The Posleenverse is a strange place.

In the book, they justify it by coming up with a new weapon 'the Quantum Tangler' that happens to be shaped just like a breast. It also necessitated more power, thus a thick round bulge around the midpoint (like hips) and from there the designers just decided to run with it. No pictures of the ship, but that's probaby a good thing.

On the one hand, it is sort of awesome. Nothing says humanity is reaching the stars quite like a human-shaped starship. On the other hand... It really seems like something Shroomy would have come up with.

But this reminds me, for combining aesthetically pleasing with sheer awesomeness, it'd be hard to compete with the Pemalites. Behold!

Sadly true, though I don't think it was something conjured from pure misogyny. That said, there is such a thing as a tasteful nude, and that's how the ship will always be in my imagination. Excusing the placement of the fighter bay. I figure, unless you're on deviantart, if you give your nude angel wings it had better damn well be tasteful.

Oh, and the reason I put the Snoopy-ship up there is because it was built by an extinct race of bipedal dogs in-universe. Hence it occured to me when I thought of ships resembling their creators.

Half of the crap posted is not only not beautiful, but they are down right ugly. Some of them are basically two shapes connected together.

I think the spaceship from The Fountain is beautiful. Style over substance for the win.

I have a wide sense of beauty, however, so while I love this ship, I also love the Y-Wing.

A fine piece of intimidation, but technologically inferior to the command ships of the other major powers in the B5 universe. As aesthetically well-designed as the Narn race itself, and did much to bring the B5 universe to life.
