Misread the label then. My bad.
'Next time I let Superman take charge, just hit me. Real hard.'
'You're a princess from a society of immortal warriors. I'm a rich kid with issues. Lots of issues.'
'No. No dating for the Batman. It might cut into your brooding time.'
'Tactically we have multiple objectives. So we need to split into teams.'-'Dibs on the Amazon!'
'Hey, we both have a Martian's phone number on our speed dial. I think I deserve the benefit of the doubt.'
'You know, for a guy with like 50 different kinds of vision, you sure are blind.'

It's not FF labs, it's FF445, and looks much more like an Air Force tail code, normally painted on the tail fins of aircraft ...which would make sense since Rhodes is in it.
Exactly. War Machine had an ED tail code painted onto the right shoulder, indicating it was based at Edwards AFB. An FF tail code indicates the airframe is based at Langley AFB.

IM 3 Superbowl trailer. It's definitely Rhodey in the Iron Patriot Suit, and Tony inside the new armor (it falls off him and he's in it with the plane scene) so it's not the telepresence armor.

That trailer doesn't sell the movie as being fun to watch. Hopefully that's just bad marketing, and not a problem with the movie itself. Otherwise, I'll probably skip this and watch Fast and Furious 6 instead.

I agree that it doesn't look fun to watch. It comes across more like they are trying to rope you in to find out how the guy you liked in 2-3 pervious movies makes out against all of the bad crap they show happening to him in the trailer. It might work but it's a pretty big turn off for me.

Isn't that a general thing that sequels have to face? If you keep the threat "the same" you run into the audience tuning out. You either then give your hero a radically different threat to counter, or change the level of what they are facing.

Personally, I felt the super-bowl ad got me a little more interested in the film than I was before.

No. The problem I have with that trailer is that there is nothing fun in it:

You have a battered Iron Man landing in the snow and unsuiting.
You have the villain saying something villainy.
You have Stark and Pepper, Stark's house and the suits getting blown up.
You have a plane getting blown up, and another nine people falling to their deaths that Iron Man can't save.

Compare to the Iron Man 2 trailer:

You have Stark being an awesome showoff.
You have Stark being funny ("I want one." "No.")
You have the villain building his own Iron Man tech, and then strolling along a racetrack wielding goddamn lightning whips.
You have robots, War Machine, and then War Machine destroying robots.
And it ends with Stark putting on the suitcase suit while Black Sabbath plays.

You'd think people would pick up that the crux of the Superbowl spot was 'an extended look at Iron Man' where Robert Downey Jr stands in front of the camera, giving us an extended look :v

No, near death experiences put people into shock, people in shock don't act rationally. People in shock do many things, few of those things would make sense to a neutral observer. The city is in flames, aliens are dead, day is saved and Tony pulls them into the nearest wrap place to get some food, why? Because he just almost died and he's still in shock to some extent.
AND.... he probably didn't stop for lunch, what with saving the Earth and all, so maybe he's just hungry?

And a terrible pun it was, but I'm much more interested in Rhodey is the Iron Patriot suit, since they said it would be Savin.

Trailer number 2 was just released. And oh my, how pretty. This is seriously looking like it will reinvigorate the Iron Man series after the last misstep.

By that I meant Iron Man 2, which was a fairly decent film in it's own right, but I felt it was nowhere near as good as the first installment. It just felt a bit too flat and unfocused for my liking.

I saw the trailer, thought about how impressive it was, noticed how the suit in the last frame looked like Terminator armour, popped by sdnet to see if anyone was talking about the trailer in general, and then saw your post.

The second movie wasn't as good as the one before it, but I wouldn't outright classify it as a misstep. Still, I fully agree that this looks like it will be as good, or better, than the first film.

Hulkbuster armor has always kinda had that look about it. It definitely looked the part of the Emperor's Finest in that shot, though.

Here's some concept art for it that gives a better look at it.

Is anyone else curious why there seems to be HULKbuster armor in a movie with a sever lack of HULK?

Also in the shot with his "Reinforcements" Anyone else think they are Stark versions of 'Hammer Drones' ?
I ask this because I very VERY much doubt Stark would ever let THAT many people ware his armor tech.

Well for starters, there's the fact that a lot of his regular suits got sort of blown up, and besides, the extra oomph of a Hulkbuster doesn't hurt, what with you having it available anyway?
As for the Iron Man League, I say it's a variation of the telepresence armour technology, with Pepper, Rhodey and/or various SHIELD goons in remote control of the suits.

Much better than the last one. Hopefully they handle Stark hanging up his spurs well, but the attack on the house looks more enjoyable to watch now.

The last teaser reminds me of one of my favourite bits from the Naruto anime (the ten puppets of Monzaemon), so I'm wondering whether they'll do a similar thing showing off the different models' different capabilities.

The last few scenes had what looked like Stark and Rhodes suited up, and Rhodes appeared to be in the more traditional war machine armour rather than the stars and stripes paint job, which I imagine means he gets kicked out of the iron patriot job and stark re fits him. Which makes sense, the Mk II must be getting pretty dated by now.

Apparently, Shane Black, who directs this film, was the go to guy for Favreau when making the first film.

I do believe Pepper may get her own suit (Rescue?) along with being helped by Rhodey and the other Mks. as drones, probably operated by JARVIS to some extent. What, an AI with vocal conversation capabilities that can do sarcasm is somehow not behind those drones? Tony already has the most advanced synthetic life form on Earth and he uses it as a fancier Siri. It's about time we saw what one could actually do with multiple suits under a single command. Especially when Tony seems to have taken Hammer's/Vanko's ideas to heart and made various specialist suits of an unmanned nature.
