Where is this quote about the planet having an exotic core? The only thing I can remember about the planet being exotic was that the planet's crust was made of adamantium.Many sources, most planet destruction incidents, though the only somewhat verifiable one consisting of the Nightlords destruction of their own homeworld in a single volley, it was kinda made moot when another quote spoke of said planet having an excotic core responsible for the worlds explosion.
Except the funny thing about Torpedoes.. they explode INSIDE their targets.Wait a minute... 610 GT torps right? And someone said it took several of those to kill a cruiser right? I assume several means 3-6 or so right?

Night Lords Index Astartes explicitly states the planet had a volitile core.SylasGaunt wrote:Where is this quote about the planet having an exotic core? "An entire strata of the planet's crust was composed of this valuable metal, and it was thought the planet had a very volitile core, hence it's megatonne explosion at the hands of the Primarch."SylasGaunt wrote:Where is this quote about the planet having an exotic core? Hence the explosion that didn't occur before the beams reach the core, which was always a weird issue since that shouldn't happen if it was a normal planet.
Funny thing that, about shields that is, anyway, good design can channel explosions effectively though to minimize collateral damage to said ship.Except the funny thing about Torpedoes.. they explode INSIDE their targets.

What incident, where, how did you do it, details details because I have no idea what you are talking about, you could be talking about the retribution example or something totally different for all I know.NecronLord wrote:A lance shot.His Divine Shadow wrote:And what did make 6.1TT?NecronLord wrote: 6.1TT

I was scaling up from the infamous torpedoes. However as they seem very close, why not call it 6~7GTHis Divine Shadow wrote:If you mean the retribution incident I get 1e6GT required for pulverizing it into 10m fragments and divided over 13 hours thats 9e19joules per second or 21GT, divide by three lances and we have 7GT/s lances

610 GT torp.
Assuming 10 torps = to 1 torp marker (going from the 100's of torps quote)
6.1GT = one firepower unit.

Well thats game rules... I am iffy about such things since there's that whole balance thing and gameplay limitations, for a perfect example you ought to take a look at the Ork ram-ship and how it messes with physics.NecronLord wrote:610 GT torp.

Also, said 610GT torp I believe was said to consist of hundreds of 5GT warheads or something, I need to find that quote.
