That's rich given that 1) this is primarily a vs board, and 2) Trek bashing is one of our official sports. Do you really think B&B know or care that the better part of a thousand people spend at least some portion of their leasure time slagging Trek and arguing that the UFP would be squashed flat by the GE? Do you really think Lucas cares that the better part of a thousand people spend at least some portion of their leasure time arguing that the GE would squash the UFP flat? I don't know what all the has to do with your obessive B5 bashing. You simply attack with out bothering to give reasons. It's not just I don't like JMS or I think he's a hack. It's flat out slander and personal attacks on the man, the show, and it's fans with flat out lies in many cases.

The way you act I think it's perfectly justified. I don't have a problem with critisizing the show. It got things wrong and JMS isn't above critisim. What I do have a problem with doing it in a manner little short of trolling and turning every B5 topic into your little war against JMS.

2) Does this really need to be sticky? Most of the board is unlikely to be interested in a personal tirade possibly followed by a flamewar. If you're trying to get in my face it won't work because I read posts using the 'view new posts' feature rather than by going through the fourms.

Back that up. I hardly remember everything I've posted about JMS, B5 and/or the fans over the years. Most of it has been less then complementary but I certainly don't recall slandering anyone or lying about anything. I can pick more than enough holes using the established facts. I do not need to create the truth to make my points.

If you want more in-depth explanations, go digging through Google groups and see what I've posted to rastb5m. I post to Usenet under my real name but you shouldn't have much of a problem finding out what it is...

Actually you've accussed JMS of plagarising any number of other works. All of them based on superficial similarities and with no hard evidence.

I'll add my two cents all the same....

I did my higher english work on how Bab 5 is Lord of the Rings in space....there are a lot of similarities.....take the over story for one, the shadows and the vorlons.....

An evil that was defeated in a great war a long time before (rather common since tolkien....)
The agents of darkness abroad in the land....
Gandalf, who could be considered analagous to Kosh or Sheridan at times.....particularly at the point where they visit Zha'dum (Moria - Dwarf stronghold og Khaza'dum)....where they fall down a big (seemingly bottomless hole) to save everyone else (The fellowships / to crash nuke into planet and fuck shadows).....and there are thought dead and meet a creature from the begining of time (Lorien/Balrog).....

The whole war with earth can be compared to the return to the shire aswell.....once you pass that then you are into somewhat new territory....

Anyway...I can dig out more of my old project stuff if anyone can be bothered reading it.....

Considering that your posting your commentaries at THIS site I don't think asking you to post your justification for them, here, is being unreasonable; espically since you already have them typed out... all you need to do is copy and paste them.

The only reason I can see for your not posting here is that your afraid to discuss your rastb5/rastb5m posts at this site, possibly because you realize that they're irrationational or unsupportable. If this is the case I also think that your going to use your "skill test" to justify your refusal of posting your previous posts here. In my opinion your probably going to attack people (or were going to, before I made this point) who ask you to post your position here, saying that they are simply unable to live up to the "skill test" of finding your posts.

Either post your justification for bashing B5 and JMS here or stop bashing them here, its that simple.

I'd like to hear this too, "Enlightenment". B5 is better than most all of the tripe thats out there today. If it's something lame like "the graphics suck," I will soooo not stop flaming you. I'd sooner watch B5 than any Sci-Fi series. Yes, including SW.

Personally, Enlightenment, you won't post your views and if fact are making every effort to even reveal them in the slightest. You're a coward that lacks the courage of your convictions. It really is some petty grudge against JMS isn't it?
