TOS Logic loops

Post by Darth Servo »

Kirk is stranded on an alien planet with no weapons, no tricorder, no tech at all. Meters away is a communication station he can use to call the Enterprise for a beam up. He is crippled, so no physical fighting is allowed. Only one thing stands in his way.

James T. Kirk vs Crow T. Robot.

Can Kirk talk his way out of the situation? Or will Crow's total lack of logic circuits make the situation hopeless for our dear captain?

Um...Can either of you actually post to the topic at hand?

Anyway, I doubt Kirk will be able to logic his way through Crow T Robot. Indeed, Kirk might just be stunned by the Mere IDEA of a computer WITHOUT logic circits.

This isn't about kicking ass. Combat was forbidden in this thread. Its about "will one of Kirk's famous logic loops work on Crow?"

no. It will, instead, go something like this:

Kirk: Now, listen carefully Crow - and keep in mind the fact that I'm telling the absolute truth when I say this.

Crow: Right. Okay. Hit me!

Kirk: I'm lying.

Crow: Yeah, probably.

*Kirk waits for a moment. Crow continues to stare at him.*

Crow: So...eh...nice weather today?

Considering the fact that he's seen Manos: The Hands of Fate and survived, no amount of illogic will hurt Crow.
Don't hate; appreciate!

What's Canon for MST3k? Do fan MSTings count? If it does, he's survived TOWNMNBS level stupidity and illogic.

Kirk trys logical on Crow and fails. He then asks Crow to call Enterprise for him. Crow does as asks simply because Kirk is not Mike Nelson.

I'd say that after surviving Monster A GoGo, Time Of The Apes, I Accuse My Parents, and Manos: The Hands Of Fate, Crow would easily be immune to a Kirk Logic-Loop.

Even money that Kirk winds up trapped on the SOL.

LOL, after MS3K crow should be able to survive anything that kirk can throw at him. (off topic) though if it was a RSA (i)logic loop it might be a different matter (off topic)

That is too scary a thought at 3 am, to think of the comments Spock and Bones would have about the world's worst science fiction movies (I was about to say B flicks, but they're further down the alphabet...Z flick might be better).

No, no, no. The Bots only take orders from Willie Tyler and Lester (Prince of Space)
