U Law vs. Agent Smith

Post by russellb6666 »

Both are at the hight of their powers, but Smith can't jump into another persons and it is assumed this battle takes place in the matrix and U Law's powers work in the matrix. who wins?

U Law > Agent Smith.

He was fucking invincible when he was fighting - tireless, unbelievable strength and speed, reflexes beyond compare and he was a martial arts and firearms master.

And lets not forget that he was using vehicles as HtH weapons.

I think U Law vs Stitch would be an interesting fight for that very reason.

I agree that U-Law was stronger. He was at least as fast (could block bullets), but he picked up a pair of motorcycles and used them as brass knuckles!

The critics pasted "The One", but I got a kick out of it.

I thought the movie was quite cool I thought of it as a poor man's Matrix

That's because critics look for such elements as "character development" and other head shrinking mumbo-jumbo. :D

I really loved the end at the prison world, with Yulaw stating <Spoiler Warning>

"I'm Yulaw, and I'm nobody's bitch! You are mine!!!" And procedes to play the ultimate game of king of the hill. But I always wonder if Yulaw or even Law would be able to take on a Jedi if both are armed with lightsabers. But I'll leave that to another debate.
On the Matrix one, I think Yulaw would would win in a fight that most likely take all day.

I'm going with U-Law. It would be close, but U-Law would win because he is a bit faster and stronger. He also does a better job at blocking than Agent Smith.

Of course I never particularly agreed with any of the people who insisted the One was in any way a rip-off of the Matrix (a distinctly odd notion given the fact that they're stories are nothing alike).

Onto the debate Yulaw's got anything we've seen Smith done surpassed at least a bit.

I think a lot of people confuse the slow-mo Hong Kong action-movie fight choreography style with the Matrix because that's the only example of it that they've seen. They don't realize it's been around forever, and that this style of fighting is NOT original to the Matrix.

And the visible bullets in slo-mo (though the last time I had the argument it was fairly simple to point out that Blade did that before The Matrix did) though I did get into an argument with someone who just insisted the story was a rip-off for some reason.

Of course his idea of the special effects being a rip-off was rather silly to.

Why did I like "The One"?

a) Jet Li.

b) It was made by two of the best people EVER to work on the X-Files.

Definatly Law. Though he does seem to have a little less endurandce then the rest of his powers would indicate. He is more than a match for Smith.

Though redoing this match when the next movie comes out is definatly in order if the trailers are any indication.

Agent Smith: dodges pistol shots in an open environment.
Yu-Law: dodges automatic gunfire in a barbed wire laced air duct.
No Contest.

You know I'd forgotten about that part.. I was thinking about how he dodged the bullets in the hospital, hell he didn't even start moving until the round was incoming.

I disagree, as already mentioned in this thread Hong Kong action films have been using slo-mo fights for ages and Blade used the "bullets in slo-mo" before Matrix.

THE Matrix has made it a cliche though. They are going to have to really do something special in 2&3 to prevent people from falling asleep while watching.

I've watched many marital arts action flicks. And none are done in the same style as the Matrix. Not saying the Matrix way is better, but the Matrix way uses alot more computers and the 3d veiw. And I also have always think the whole One thing as interconnected.
