The Ending of Outlaw Star
Okay; I was wondering about this.
In the first ending; you have a woman in the background a city? This kind've looks like some of the cities in Tenchi Muyo!. Any coincidence?
The second scene has the same person with some sort of gun and a ship in the background, is it damaged, is it okay?
There's the one with said person with a sword; it seems like she killed a bear or some sort of device; it seems as thehead popped open of something.
Then there's the scens with buildings floating in the air; is this from the universe or not?
Then there's the stuff in the second ending; say the solid ringe abournd a planet for an example; is this the Leyline or not?
Is this in-universe; or symbolic, or something else...

Not possible: the anime Outlaw Star was a direct adaptation of a couple of previous works, and I personally don't think they look or resemble anything like Melfina. It's science fantasy art that doesn't have any connection to the series.
I believe in a sign of Zeta.

Damn, I was wondering about this too for a while. Thanks, Spanky.

No problem.
Specifically, the anime is based on the manga of the same name by Takehiko Ito, which itself was spun-off from a parody manga called Space Hero Tales (also called Future-Retro Hero Story).
While the anime seems to be "loosely based" on the manga, I did some rooting around on Google and was able to confirm that they shared the exact same style.
So yeah, that's pretty much final confirmation that the images in the ED don't have any real connection to the series itself.

I always thought they were merely neat concept art related because they're space and fantasy themed.
If The Infinity Program were not a forum, it would be a pie-in-the-sky project.

A permutation of the "Future-Retro Hero Story" title made its way into the anime's logo. It says "Future Hero Next Generation" around the O of Outlaw Star.Spanky The Dolphin wrote:No problem.
