Stargate Atlantis Season 4 : SPOILERS

Post by Starglider »

There don't seem to be any discussion threads for the new Atlantis episodes. So what do people think of the new season?

The stuff with Atlantis flying through the asteroid field was horribly cheesy and unrealistic (the incredibly dense asteroid field itself wasn't any worse than the ones seen in SW, but atlantis running into it by accident was).

But Repli-Weir was just awesome. Almost as much as Replicarter. :) The ZPM heist was pretty exciting.

The ep with Ronon's traitorous wraith-worshipper friends felt mostly like filler and 'our mandatory contracted character development' (Leena complained that it was far too predictable). But I like the way the backstory is progressing, with the Wraith-Alterran war and filling in the details such as the Wraith deactivating the attack order last time.

Screw the whiny change-nothing fans, I think it'll be great to see Carter developing into a leadership role (even moreso than seeing Jack struggle with it). As long as they do something useful with Teyla it should be a good season. Unfortunately though from the spoilers it looks like there won't be any more Wraith-Replicator-Ancients-Genii stuff until the middle of the season, but I suppose you can't have that in the foreground all the time or you'll run out of plot.

Well that was a major burst of retardness on my part. Don't know how I missed those.

Feel free to delete this whole thread.

Har-har. </Nelson>

They've been rather small and short threads, really.
