The squad consists of eight stormtroopers armed with blasters and sidearms but no heavier weaponry. Assume that the Stormtroopers blasters won't be disrupted by Dresden unless he gets within 30 feet of them for the purposes of this debate. They are dropped into the countryside near where Dresden is currently working. They are at least two miles away from Dresden with hilly terrain and woody terrain between them. Dresden is carrying his full kit as of the end of White Night so he has his staff, shield bracelet, blasting rod, sword cane, Fidelacchius, .44, and force rings. Plus he still has access to Hellfire in order to strengthen his magic.
In addition Dresden has access to his array of knowledge regarding Star Wars and Stormtroopers. He has also been warned by a source that he trusts that Stormtroopers are after him. In order to get to the Blue Beatle he would have to travel dead west for 5 miles before he reaches it while the Stormtroopers are two miles to his south. His other option is to travel 10 miles to the north before he reaches a small town where he can contact additional help from the Wardens and his allies.
Can Dresden at least escape? And how effective will he be against Stormtroopers?
