It's a prequel set during the very beginning of the war on Cybertron. Click on the pic for more info...

I'm drooling, and I smell another movie and/or tv series if this is popular.

The great thing is that they can put out these G1 stories without having to worry about Hasbro pressuring them to tie them in with the introductions of new characters (read: toys), which is what plagued the original cartoons and comics. The writers can actually take the time to develop the existing characters and create an actual mythos.

Actually there will be a new tv series, and none of this CGI crap, it'll be single cell animation. The title is Transformers Armada and it'll have about 52 episodes.

Armada is a "re-imagining" of the Transformers, whereas these new stories set in the G1 continuity involve all of the G1 characters in their original forms (more or less). Armada is a different continuity altogether, apparently.

G1 is like ST:TOS. Sure, it has it's technical flaws and such, but it's the original and the best.

You want me to hit you, don't you?

Shadow WC and I have had run-ins in the past, he's a fanatical Beast Wars fan and heretic who does not recognize the inherent superiority of G1.

Technical flaws? I don't hate the G1 cartoon because of technical flaws. Nor do I hate TOS for technical flaws. Technical flaws are irrelevant to me if I factor in the technology of the day.

I hate the G1 Cartoon for the same reason we all hate Voyager. THE WRITING JUST SUCKS.

Actually, I'm sorry. Grouping G1 with Voyager is just an insult to voyager

The writers of G1 turn green with envy when they look at and up (yes, up) to Voyager episodes.

G1 Megatron has 5 different origins
The constructicons have 5 different origins
There are severa to make other transformers which are supposed to be the "only" way on the episode they're used on.

G1 Megatron, the suppossed "Brilliant" leader of the Decepticons, was continually out-witted by human child!

His supposed stroke of genious during his attack on Autobot City was a tactical blunder which even the French would frown upon.

And what does he do with a weapon that will turn the allies of his enemies into metallic statues, what does he do?

HE WALKS AROUND THE FOREST TURNING FUCKIN' TREES INTO METAL.

Yes. Yes we have. But never really about Transformers. Only on whether or not DS9 is a rip-off of Babylon 5.

For small list of my grievances with the stupidity of the G1 Cartoon, let's look at the specific examples k?

G1 Megatron
Shockwave
Aerialbots
Cyclonus
Hound and Mirage
SkyFire

The sheer stupidity of it all is blinding.

Your sheer stupidity is blinding. Nearly every one of the examples in this site comes from the comics, not the cartoon that you say is stupid. In case you haven't noticed, we don't give a shit about you or your opinion.

D'OH!!

I guess I was trolling for a bit there. Sorry about that.

Well In relation to the war within...I actually look forward to it. I've always wanted to see what G1 done well would have been like. I can't get access to the Dreamwave comics yet though. But I like the idea of a prequel. It will clear up some problems which have been plaguing the fandom for quite some time.

I just hope someone comes up with a plausible explanation for the female Autobots.

Sexual tensions caused the Great War to start. In a final attempt to avert war, Optimus Pimpus created the finest collection of robo-hoes this side of Cybertron.

Beast Wars wasn't that bad, but I don't think CGI really fits Transformers. Plus I got to see Starscream in action again.

But Beast Machines..... * shudder*
