I felt so sorry for Ronon when he was stuck talking with Davis.

Davis (as in Major "Awesome" Davis) has hair. We also haven't seen him since the end of Season 8.

I actually thought they'd feed the vegetable-daughter to the wraith. It makes more sense.

How does it make more sense to feed a dead body to a Wraith? Doesn't that kind of defeat the whole "drain a person's life force" thing?
I believe in a sign of Zeta.

The body was alive, in a vegetative, brain-dead state. What's not to find delicious? Wraith don't feed on consciousness.Spanky The Dolphin wrote:How does it make more sense to feed a dead body to a Wraith? Doesn't that kind of defeat the whole "drain a person's life force" thing?

She wasn't brain dead, she was a blank slate (apparently). Like a newborn.

They did indeed. Of course, the writers can do as they like...Spanky The Dolphin wrote:I swear I recall them mentioning that the girl was dead before the Wraith came through the gate.

This episode struck me as being a bit weak and a cheap filler. Felt like they went out of their way to drag the scene away from Atlantis so they dont have to deal with Tayla, Carter or going out in the Pegasus galaxy during a war.
Now that we are reaching the half way point for the season I'm noticing the sets are 'different'. Perhaps 'bland' or 'empty' might be the best description. I'm wondering if it is a problem due to a lack of cash to flesh out the number of cast / props or if it is just an issue due to the difference in setting between Atlantis and SG-1.
The SGC is all bunker like and was naturally bland to begin with but Atlantis is all bright and advanced looking so when you go back to the SGC it looks bleak.
I must admit this story felt awfully gritty and filled with time sinks even with the ok performance from Rodney. The dark streak in Shep was about the only thing that really got my intrest. This nanite shit is bad story material frankly cause it basically introduces an enemy you cant see. Basically the only way to know what is going on is to have the characters TELL us every step of the way which ends up with an episode full of exposition, fluff and the lame 'comedy' moments.
The other thing that got my attention was the lack of any intelligent thought from Rodney when rushing in for the rescue. Would it have been so hard to contact the Daedulus so they both could have been beamed up before he went into the building in case of trouble or to quickly grab his sister if they found her ?
Or why not have Ronin and Shep beam there before arriving ?
I notice it was the Daedulus that was doing the beaming incidentally. No mention of the other X304s and I find it interesting the past few episodes havent shown the X304s hanging around Atlantis so much. One would have thought they would have had a ship dispatched after those Hives showed up.

According to gateworld, eventually we're going to have humanform replicators running around on earth.Meest wrote:The question now is there any point to this filler or all this nanite development going to be forgotten, or worse used in some lame deus ex machina fashion.
So, it might not be filler.

I seriously hope not because its bad enough having the repetative bullshit from 'The Trust' every other episode without having a similar situation to DS9 with the Changelings.
Its also going to stretch belief completely if you can have replicators running around on Earth without the Stargate program becoming public. Its bad enough that SG-1 had Jaffa running around or Anubis bombarding the planet without including the Replicators.
Even a complete retard would realise that if the Replicators want a quick way of screwing over Earth is to reveal the Stargate program in the dirtiest way possible to cause massive social problems. Additionally, there is no real reason for Replicators to sneak around on Earth when they could easily just send one of their ships to attack the planet or one of those death sats they used before.
Having replicators getting to Earth sounds like a Dr Weir coming back as a Locutus rip off to me.
