Would this vehicle work?

Maybe not as a combat vehicle, but just a cross country vehicle?

I dunno, all those... leg things look like they require too much maintenance to be more useful than what already exists.

What's the point of all that bullshit, when you could just as easily put those wheels on the main chassis with simple axles?

Fucking stupid for combat, it would almost certainly suck for cross-country.

It reminds me of some sort of mobile crane system used in docks (this design is from Patlabor 2).

This tank was used in jungle warfare and got owned by several other tanks, I guess it's just used for recce and avoiding obstacles, not really an MBT or APC.

If you got rid of the wheels and designed the legs for very steep inclinces then it might make sense as a mountainous terrain vechile.

Fuchikomas are far better and actually do what they set out to, they in no way try and copy tanks and use both robotic legs and wheels for any given scenario.

This is just... not right.

I seem to remember something like that in one of the Wizzard of Ozbooks. I think in the book, it was a particular group of people who had wheels instead of hands and feet. It was fantasy bullshit then and its fantasy bullshit now.

Actually, I just realized that on some level that POS bears an uncanny resemblance to the POS in Wild Wild West.

If your gonna use legs, get rid of the wheels and add some feet.

This crap is ridiculous.
It's unsuitable for combat, and for off road purposes a jeep will do a hundred times better.

It's too big for the wheeled legs to be practical.

Wheeled legs are more suited to smaller vehicles, like Fuchikomas and Tachikomas.

Just use hover vehicles...

Dark Reign's Triple Rail Hover Tanks were good enough...
