So what's the deal with 'Back To The Future'?

Post by Pulp Hero »

I mean in BTTF 1 Marty is transported from 1985 (the present) to 1955 (the past) and spends the movie trying to get back to 1985. From the point of view of Marty he is getting back to the present, ie not "getting back to the future."

Then, in BTTF2 Marty indeed does travel to the future from 1985. But he is not traveling back because it is his first foray into the future.

In BTTF3, Marty spends his time in the old west until the very end he travels back to 1985. Doc shows up and presumably went to the future, but its not shown.

What the fuck. We got ripped off, people.

This is the guy they want to use to win over "young people?" Are they completely daft? I'd rather vote for a pile of shit than a Jesus freak social regressive.
Here's hoping that his political career goes down in flames and, hopefully, a hilarious gay sex scandal.

No, you see the title is about various characters snapping out, "BACK TO THE FUTURE!!!" in one way or another.

That is all. Thanks.

Yes, Doc Brown says "We've got to get you back to the future!"

I had this one professor who beat the phrase "back to the future" into a godawful pulp, I cringed whenever I heard it because you could tell he felt really proud of his little turn of phrase when in reality it just sounded really lame.

I loved the trilogy but I cringe every time Doc Brown says jiggawatts not gigawatts.

Title refers to Doc brown in the past sending Marty back to doc's future. Simple enough eh?

Of course Doc Brown is a crazy do-it-yourself scientist from the 1950s, I wouldn't be surprised in the least if he had odd habits stemming from among other things, youthful ham radio hobbyism.

I followed that link and discovered that Andrew Probert designed the Delorean. I had not known that before, but it makes so much sense. Chalk up another one Andy!
