Transformers II, How would you do it?

Post by Zor »

In this thread, you are basically via Q been given near complete control from the begining over what the Movie Transformers II will be like, from the planning up.

There are a few rules...

-Transformers II is a Sequel to the first movie. It can't be a reboot.
-You have the same cast as before.
-Michael Bay still has to be the the director
-Crossovers with other Franchises are forbiddon.

So what do you do?

1. Get Shoji Kawamori to redo all the robot designs (Same vehicles/robots, just tidy them up so they're not as visually messy and make the action scenes unnecessarily confusing even without stupid amounts of jump cuts).

2. Pay Big West an immense amount of money to use the VF-1 design for Jetfire again.

3. Profit!

Well I'd just give up at this point.

Soundwave & Shockwave arrive with more decepticons, as does Blaster with more Autobots.

Decepticons attempt to retrive Megatron, but the autobots are trying to stop them.

Soundwave has a device to resurrect Megatron. Shockwave wants to finish him off.

Final fights scence; Shockwave sides with the Autobots, and tries to finish the destruction of Megatron. Soundwave starts the resurrection.
Shockwave's latest attempt to stop it, causes him to get pulled in and used for spare parts...

Long live Galvatron!

FYI: Reign of StarScream comic is an approved sequel to the first movie, covering what's happening in between the two. We get introduced to more Decepticons, more Autobots (Arcee!), and get to see Cybertron once again. A lot of action also happens on Mars.

if you want more spoilers, I'll post them later.

Starscream takes over Cybertron as the new leader of the Decepticons. Soundwave and other dissidents who prefer Megatron travel to earth to find Megatron and try to bring him back.

Meanwhile, some Autobots have responded to Optimus Prime's message and are en route to earth to join up with him.

Megatron is rebuilt by Soundwave as Galvatron and given an earth alternate form: a badass tank.

Introduce the Constructicons and Bruticus. Yeah. That's gonna kick ass, along with Soundwave and his cassettes- especially Ravage. Gotta find an alt mode for Soundwave and his cassettes that's a little more modern than a walkman and microcassettes though.

Galvatron and Optimus fight one another. Starscream gets wind that Megatron/Galvatron is back and makes arrangements to return to earth with an army to kill him once and for all, and finish off the Autobots in the process.

Set up for the third movie where Galvatron and Optimus temporarily unite to fight Starscream.

I would insist on the rocked up theme from the '87 movie, as well as autobot/decepticon logo flips between scene changes. That's all I want.

Call me insane, but I don't want Megatron to be revived without him being Galvatron, and I don't want Galvatron without Unicron.

I know in the style that movies are done these days, with more realism, and requiring less SoD (such as the newer superhero movies), Unicron is a huge leap up in terms of omgwtfness. Going from warring 30 foot robotic aliens to a planet-sized world-devouring titan is a massive rung up the ladder.

Still, Galvatron without Unicron just ain't cool.

Instead of a bog-standard Nimitz or Kitty Hawk, they should try their hand at the Charles de Gaulle or, even better, the Admiral Kuznetsov. Just my two cents, though.

Gotta work Instruments of Destruction and Hunger in there somewhere.

Yes, because a carrier run by one of the most historically inept militaries on earth or a carrier that had to be TOWED back to harbor because the Russians can't even afford to keep the one they have left in working order is much, MUCH cooler than a carrier from the greatest military power in the world. :P

I'm a fan of decepticons so this is written from their point of view.

Starscream is in command of the decepticons on cybertron. the autobots are regrouping on Earth. Starscream sends a scout team of Soundwave,Shockwave, Sky Fire and Six-shot to recon the autobots as well as to make contact with decepticons which survived on earth in the first movie ( I think Scorponok and Barricade survived)

Soundwave and Shockwave have a plan to revive Megatron and the other destroyed Decepticons. Sky Fire and Six Shot go along with them but are actually spies for Starscream .

they manage to salvage the decepticons (after a fight with Broadside who 's on guard duty) but need the spark to revive them.

after stealing the spark (another battle) they first test it on the lesser deceptiocns and on earth vehicles. This leads to the formation of the Constructicons and Combaticons (Barricade,Brawl,Blackout become Combaticons here. Bonecrusher becomes a Constructicon).

The spark operates badly with Scorponok who loses his head. this leads them to delay using it on Megatron.

meanwhile Sky Fire is having serious doubts. more a scientist than a warrior he is filled with wonder at this non metal world. He also witness acts of bravery among the autobots and humanity which make him have doubts. only his freindship to Starscream keeps him a Decepticon. You can have him having the sappy dialogue with the humans (who he captured rather than kill) and have him defending his freindship with StarScream.

the Autobots arrive on the scene but are overwhelmed by the Decpetiocons superior firepower.

Six Shot and Sky Fire now act and fire on Shockwave Soundwave damaging them and and takes the spark themselves. the spark splits in two with Sky Fire getting one piece and an autobot getting the other.

the Autobots manage to destroy Devastater and Bruticus. Sky Fire releases the humans.

CLosing shot of Six Shot (in jet mode)and Sky Fire welcoming the arrival of Starscream and the Seekers.

I'm just tired of the Decepticons always using American military hardware as their alt-modes. Russian hardware is just as good (at least an Admiral Kuznetsov Transformer is guaranteed to be in perfect working order, unlike the actual article :P), and the Decepticons have the added side effect of sowing chaos among the humans' ranks by causing diplomatic incidents wherever they may roam. Let's see the Russians try to explain why there are Sukhois overflying Washington or why the Admiral Kuznetsov just showed up near Annapolis. :D
