What is your single favorite scene?
For me it has to be Baltar on the Baseship when they were attacking the Resurrection Hub. He is telling the Centurion about God and even though the Cylon cannot say anything the varous head movements really make you feel like you are watching an actual conversation, as if what Baltar is saying is sinking in. Actually since we can assume the Centurion is one that has its brain inhibitor removed I assume the Centurion really did understand Baltar. I would love to know what the Centurion was thinking.

Adama clutching the phone like if he was about to break it, then springing into action at the end of Pegasus Pt.1, when the Violin Duel music starts.
Re: Favorite nBSG scene
I love the bits in season three where Baltar is being interrogated. Not because of the torture. I just like it when it shows him in the water.
I also like the scene from the season four premiere when Tigh shoots Adama.

Re: Favorite nBSG scene
There are far too many great scenes, mostly from the work of the actors, to be able to pick a single one.
But my favorite scene would have to be Galactia's plunge through New Caprica. Some of the best space porn ever on TV.
As far as character moments...
-Roslin as Baltar tells her what he did to the twelve colonies, and how he no longer feels guilt over it. She's so utterly overcome with shock and rage, she just sits there quivering. It's a powerful scene for me for its silence, and how you can see whats going through her mind without a single word. Just a kind of "ok, I'm going to let you die now".
-"I want a marine raptor ready to launch in 5 minutes" scene is also a great one, as previously mentioned.
-The first time Adama seemed to lose his temper, it made an impression. It was season 1, when Kara went down on that shit planet orbiting a gas giant, and they had been searching for her. The "we don't leave our people behind". Then afterward, he has to accept it.
I know I'm missing a lot of great moments, but those are ones that stick out.

Mine would be from Unfinished Business when Adama tells the troops who just finished watching Tyrol kick his ass in the ring that the New Caprica debacle was his fault because he got complacent and let his men get to close to him. And that it would now stop.

Probably when Boomer shot Adama. You knew it was coming but seeing it and the aftermath were still pretty good scenes. And a lot of the first 2 episodes of season 3 are pretty damn good as well, from just the build up to the battle and the battle itself.

How the hell is there no mention of the Husker Hail Mary (or Galactica Suicide Plunge, if you prefer) yet?
Also good: SmithBaltar getting the shit beaten out of him. Angry, one eyed Tigh beating down a much younger man with ease.
EDIT: Oh, no. There it is! Nevermind.

I loved the ending to Pegasus PT1. The build up of tension, the launching of the marine team. I am getting my men back. Target the main battery on Galactica. Brilliantly done.
Tigh talking to Rosilyn about the sacrifices one must make in war and that he will not stop suicide bombings.
The entire battle of New Caprica was extremely well done. The Adama Manuever into high atmosphere. The Galactica slowly dying, only for the Pegasus to show up and beat the shit out of one Basestar in seconds. Revenge from the grave as Pegasus takes out two Hive ships in its destruction.

You guys took a lot of good ones.
I have to say that the deaths of Cally and Dee were both heart-wrenching and very well done. Also, Tigh's confession to Adama and volunteering to go in the airlock in Revelations. "What are you waiting for, Apollo? Do it!"
Actually, I must say I also love the space porn in the first episode of Season 4, and the sequence where Anders is scanned by the Raider is wonderfully creepy. Not only did I sympathize with Anders as far as being creeped the hell out, it also drive home the fact that he is NOT human.
I also nominate the Miniseries as a whole as an amazing piece of television, one that actually stands alone very well.

Pretty much nothing beats: "I'm getting my men."
Although to pick a more original one: The scene between the two Adamas in "The Hand of God" is very good.

"They're testing us, want to know if we're bluffing about nuking the planet."
"Well, unfortunately we are bluffing."
"Are we?"
Doesn't get much more awesome than what follows.
Also, I'll add my hand in that "I'm going to get my men." is definitive proof Adama has a pair of brass clankers.

-Lee and Kara Firing on the Olympic Carrier in "33" for The utter hopelessness and revulsion of it
-Seconding the Adama moments in "A Good Lighter" The music ROCKED.
-The opening scene in Kobol's last gleaming Pt. 1 with the characters intercut with the music, Adamas boxing, Starbuck and Baltar Frakkin' Helo and Sharon on Caprica.
Exodus:
Adama's speech:
"This is the Admiral.
You've heard the news. You know the mission. You should also know that there is only one way that this mission ends, and that's with the successful rescue of our people off of New Caprica.
Look around you. Take a good look at the men and women that stand next to you. Remember their faces, for one day you will tell your children and your grandchildren that you served with such men and women as the universe has never seen. And together you accomplished a feat that will be told and retold down through the ages, and find immortality as only the Gods once knew.
I'm proud to serve with you. Good hunting."
In addition to the Husker Hail Mary, I'd also like to mention Pegasus coming to the rescue. Just seeing her main battery light up that basestar as it pounded the Galactica was great.

I also liked the confrontation between Apollo and Diana. When Diana was threatening to execute hostages while Apollo held every single card Diana wanted. The play between the two, especially when Apollo threw it right in her face when he announced he had the 4 final cylons.

Am I the only one who watched Razor? How about the scene where young Adama beats the everliving crap out of a centurion with a piece of rebar after getting into a mid air gunfight while bailing out of a raptor?
Re: Favorite nBSG scene
What? No fans for the appearance of Caprica-Six's head-Baltar?
In heavy drama, though, I have to say that Adama's reaction to Tigh's being a Cylon takes the prize. That scene was awesome. Although I'll admit that "I'm getting my men" is a close second.

The problem there is that I have a lot of trouble chosing a particular scene. Is it the hand of god? The one where he ends up humping his labratory equipment? Or when she picks him up and controls him to be the messiah? Or when she.....Faqa wrote:What? No fans for the appearance of Caprica-Six's head-Baltar?

I meant head-Baltar, as he appears first in the episode "Downloaded" to Caprica-Six during her resurrection.
That was such an awesome reversal, partially because of how well-developed Baltar's head-Six had become, as enumerated by your examples.

Everyone's mentioning the end of Pegasus Part I, but one of my favorite scenes is the teaser for that episode from the point where they enter CIC on to the roll of the credits. Bear McCreary did a fantastic bit of score that, along with the subsequent scene in the hanger deck, captured a sense of relief from the Galactica crew; defense of the last of humanity is no longer our burden alone.

I also agree with this. The music was... otherworldly. It literally felt like some weird dream as the track was completely unlike anything else the series has played so far. I liked the asteroid attack scene from The Hand of God, especially after Dee says "the back door is open." That was the most awesome reveal, watching the cargo container pop off to unveil a dozen Colonial Vipers. The music during that scene was uplifting and made me feel a true sense of hope.
