Re: SGU Season 2 Trailer Posted
Why the hell are they predicting in the comments that SG:U won't get past a second season because they're "revealing too much"?
That should have ended if they didn't find the damn bridge by season two because everyone would just give up, I've been wondering why they weren't doing more scouting already, They have Kinos and there are always a couple dozen people kicking around doing nothing while the main characters are trying to solve mysteries and what not, the show needs to move along.
If a goodly number of the crew get stranded on a planet in a shuttle crash for a few episodes, that only enhances the shows dynamic and increases storytelling possibilities. I'm a little curious how one of the doctor's from Air is going to end up in whatever galaxy Destiny is in now. i wouldn't mind seeing something along the lines of the military members of the crew being exiled in the damaged shuttle rather than killed as an act of "mercy" rather than a voyageresque "lets jsut be friends" resolution.
Season 2 looks good to me, they are notching up the action which i think is about due

Looks like Chloe's skin is finally having a reaction to all the cockteasing she's doing. The voice over was terrible in that trailer, by the by.
How fast do you think they're going to resolve the Destiny crew vs Lucian alliance tensions? My guess is by the end of the first or second episode it'll be all over with.

A scientist once gave a public lecture on astronomy. He described how the Earth orbits around the sun and how the sun, in turn, orbits around the centre of a vast collection of stars called our galaxy.
At the end of the lecture, a little old lady at the back of the room got up and said: 'What you have told us is rubbish. The world is really a flat plate supported on the back of a giant tortoise.
The scientist gave a superior smile before replying, 'What is the tortoise standing on?'
'You're very clever, young man, very clever,' said the old lady. 'But it's turtles all the way down.'

Re: SGU Season 2 Trailer Posted
finally watched it after being motivated to actually finish watching the first season. (me and damn recordings ).
I doubt the Lucian alliance tensions will be resolved by the 2nd episode. I would say that by the 2nd episode they have agreed to a truce, but i dont think the tensions will go away until at least mid-way through the 3rd season (if there is one). That is more to the style of SGU. I mean, Rush vs Young still has not been resolved, and looks like it wont be for a long time through season 2.
Rush looks like his usual bastard self, and i think he is using whatever happens to Chloe with the skin to solve equations, perhaps it makes her super smart?
I agree that not finding the bridge would make no sense. I mean, logically it has to be in that bloody pyramid you see on top of Destiny (what else is it for if not a conning tower?) and it cannot be that hard to search for it.
I have to wonder if we see a slingshot maneuver with Destiny skirting the atmosphere of a planet.

It is entirely possible Rush's proclamation about controlling the Destiny is in regard to Lucian control of the ship.
"If the facts are on your side, pound on the facts. If the law is on your side, pound on the law. If neither is on your side, pound on the table."
"The captain claimed our people violated a 4,000 year old treaty forbidding us to develop hyperspace technology. Extermination of our planet was the consequence. The subject did not survive interrogation."

Hell, it could be to anyone controlling the ship. Rush has been trying to get control since day one.
