star trek motion picture

Post by dragon »

Just saw the motion picture again and was wondering something. When they engaged impulse and had the rear departure has any calculated how fast they were going based on the shrinking of the earth?

Second question is when they enter the worm whole the seat had these arm control panel that went over the lap and acted almost as seat belt, did they still have those in the later movies?

Yes, through the first four TOS movies they are seen on all Starfleet vessels. They weren't shown used as "seatbelts" much though.

This should probably be moved to pure Trek.

Doesn't answer your specific question but it does answer how fast the Enterprise was going in that scene.
