Spider-Man (movie) vs. AOTC

Post by Jim Raynor »

Who would win in each of the following scenarios pitting Spider-Man movie characters against people from Episode II? Everyone has their standard weapons and equipment unless stated otherwise. Also assume that everyone is fully aware of his/her opponent's abilities.

1. Jango Fett vs. Green Goblin in the skies of Coruscant.

2. Spider-Man vs. Anakin in Count Dooku's docking bay on Geonosis.

3. Spider-Man vs. Jango Fett on the Kaminoan landing pad, with no interference from Boba and the Slave I.

4. Spider-Man vs. Jango Fett on the landing pad, with Boba Fett and the Slave I.

5. Green Goblin vs. Mace Windu in the Geonosian arena.

6. Mary Jane vs. Padme Amidala in a mud wrestling match.

7. Bone-saw vs. Obi-wan w/o lightsaber in a steel cage, with chairs and other weapons in the ring.

8. Same as #7 except Obi-wan is replaced by Jar-Jar Binks.

5. Green Goblin vs. Mace Windu in the Geonosian arena.
If Mr Goblin is flying then unless Mace acts quick he going to have to dodge Gernades...
Not a fun thing when its only a Saber and not a SHIELD (Talk about shrapnal! Plus the missles!)

Mace could force push them away before they explode as shown by the average Jedi Ability to push objects of increasingly large size and speed, a grenade would be a peice of cake. Mace could probably force push it back toward Goblin, and destroy him. And that damn Force run shown in TPM would probably allow Mace to outrun the schrapnel.

The Jedi win their matches. Jango loses to Gobbie and Spidey singlehandedly, but with Boba and Slave I, he wins. Bone Saw wipes his ass with Jar-Jar's ears. Padme seems like she's in better shape than Mary Jane, but honestly, the real winners of that match are millions of sex starved males across two galaxies.

1. Jango Fett vs. Green Goblin in the skies of Coruscant.
Difficult to tell. As the Goblin knows about every trick Jango has, one of his chief advantages is gone. He will have to practice some of that lethal shooting he's so good at, otherwise Goblin will take him on in close combat, which means a dead Jango. But the Goblin also has ranged weapons and superior speed, so I'll give it to the green guy.
2. Spider-Man vs. Anakin in Count Dooku's docking bay on Geonosis.
Spider-Man will have difficulties, but can pull this off with his web if he's quick. Otherwise, Anakin's Force - assisted precognition will kill him.
3. Spider-Man vs. Jango Fett on the Kaminoan landing pad, with no interference from Boba and the Slave I."
This place is Spidey's natural element... obstructions, wind, a lot of room to move but still a lot of places to take cover. And once they fall over the edge, Spidey's adhesion and web will come into play.
4. Spider-Man vs. Jango Fett on the landing pad, with Boba Fett and the Slave I.
Not as easy at all. I say fifty-fifty, as Jango and Spidey will be equally vulnerable.
5. Green Goblin vs. Mace Windu in the Geonosian arena.
Anything the Goblin can throw, Mace can send back. And if Goblin closes, then Force help him, because nothing else will be able to do anything but pick up the pieces afterwards.
6. Mary Jane vs. Padme Amidala in a mud wrestling match.
Who will win? Why, the audience!
7. Bone-saw vs. Obi-wan w/o lightsaber in a steel cage, with chairs and other weapons in the ring.
"You don't want to fight me. You want to moon the audience." *Obi-Wan smirks as Bone-saw is carted off by a disgusted audience*
8. Same as #7 except Obi-wan is replaced by Jar-Jar Binks.
Bone-saw gets a new, animated sandbag.

Seriously...
1: Considering his superior flight capabilities, Green Goblin should have a good edge over Jango. I don't know if he can match Han Solo's bulls-eye snap shots (ref: ROTJ), but Jango does seem to be a pretty damn good shot, and the Green Goblin would be in for a frying if he came close enough for Jango to use his wrist flamethrower. So I would say that this fight would depend on who gains the upperhand first.

2: With the size of the docking area, I would say that Anakin has enough room to use his lightsabre effectively while Spidey would find it difficult to manouver properly. Also, Spidey's spider sense would be nullified by Anakin's precognition. So unless Spidey fights like no tomorrow, Anakin will cut him to bits.

3: I'd say that Spidey gets this, though if he makes any mistakes Jango is going to quickly burn him some new breathing holes.

4: If Jango take advantage of the covering fire Boba and Slave 1 gives him, Spidey would probably be overwhelmed.

5: "This party's over" *jump, hack, slash...* Green Goblin and flyer crashes down and makes a nice fireball, while Mace looks off in the opposite direction like in those anime.

6: My bet would be on Padme, after all she does know how to fight, and isn't just some damsel in distress.

7: If Obi-Wan doesn't just use Jedi Mind Tricks, he could just use Force TK and lob those chairs and other weapons into Bone Saw's face. Alternatively, he can do a quick Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon type thing and lay the smackdown Bone Saw around.

8: Bone Saw roars and then charges. Jar Jar being the coward he is screams and runs away. Being the heavily character shielded freak that he is, Jar Jar trips over everything while he runs, and somehow the obsticles always end up flying at Bone Saw's face. After a while, a battered and bruised Bone Saw finally corners Jar Jar, who puts his hands up and say "I give up". Pissed off as he is, Bone Saw runs forward to finish the damned Gungan off, but slips as he steps on the baseball bat that somehow got in the way and KOs himself. Tapping Bone Saw, Jar Jar laughs and jumps around as the unconscious Bone Saw remains limp... Pissed off that Jar Jar survived, the audience has Jar Jar thrown into the Naboo Deep Sea Predator Aquarium!

7. Bone-saw vs. Obi-wan w/o lightsaber in a steel cage, with chairs and other weapons in the ring.
Obi-Wan pulls a Jedi Outcast special; jumps to the top of the cage, grabs a hold of the bars, uses force pull to send Bonesaw flying into the top of the cage at a fairly fast speed. Breaks a few bones when his body hits the top of the cage; breaks a LOT of bones when he hits the ground. Obi-Wan doesn't even break a sweat.

I think that the teams are well matched in terms of physical capability - if anything, the Goblin and Spidey have slight advantage, counteracted by their lack of heavy experience. The real edge for the Jedi is their weaponry. The lightsaber simply has no easy counter from the goblin and spidey camp.
