Finally a Challenge?

Post by Purple »

Alright, before you start reading this know one thing. Well two things. 1) I know next to nothing about Daleks and barely more than that about the Necrons. And 2) this post was inspired by shroomy.
Shroom Man 777 wrote:God. Can we get the Daleks in a versus scenario versus some guys who'll actually kick the shit out of them? These Dalek fanboys making lame VS scenarios against underpowered or obviously weaker guys, just to appease themselves to see their favorites win, and changing OP scenarios when the opposing forces provide the Daleks with some difficulty, is getting annoying.

Fucking Terminator? Where Skynet loses to a bunch of hobos who eat rats for a living? Jesus.
So, here is my possibly (hopefully) balanced scenario.

At the hight of that ancient war between the old ones and the Necrons, just at the point when the Necrons are at their highest possible power with all their toys deployed and ready to fight suddenly the old ones are replaced by the Daleks taken as well from what ever point in the Dr. Who universe that they were at their prime. By act of god, they get into a fight.

Topic: Dalek vs Necron
Special conditions:
- Both sides are taken from their absolute prime and have access to any and all toys and all of their forces that you can conceivably remember. This even includes one shot things that you newer hear from again.
- The Warp of 40K is completely removed from the equation. It's only effect is that it prevents corrective time travel.
- No diplomacy is possible. The Necrons see the Daleks as brainwashed slaves of the old ones and the Daleks see the necrons as just another thing to exterminate.
- Both factions are placed inside a single custom made new galaxy created just for this battle. The galaxy contains the full industrial and military base of both factions copy pasted over into two corners separated by free space.

So, who would win?
It has become clear to me in the previous days that any attempts at reconciliation and explanation with the community here has failed. I have tried my best. I really have. I pored my heart out trying. But it was all for nothing.

You win. There, I have said it.

Now there is only one thing left to do. Let us see if I can sum up the strength needed to end things once and for all.

By height of their power are you including the C'tan in this? And what do you mean "corrective" time travel?

Daleks. The Necrons are awesome and godlike, yeah, but they never got up to reality-destroying levels.

I heard somewhere that the Daleks use the same tech to fly FTL and to fly through time into the future/past.
Here, they can use the tech to fly FTL but not the other stuff.

And yes, this does include the C'tan, all of them. Even the ones that were supposedly eaten by the others just for good measure. And they all share a hatred for the Daleks that makes them join together in brotherhood just becouse. Continuity be damned.

IIRC the Nightbringer only started eating other C'tan after their peak.

Oh, did not know that. Works just as well.

Actually, I can check a lot of the stuff about the Necrons at their height- I have the Codex about thirty seconds away from my computer. The Daleks, not so much. But I do know the Daleks don't have a speed advantage- the Necrons had ships that could cross the galaxy effectively instantly, too. Thank you stargods!
