I watched the pilot this week, and I found it pretty watchable. There's mysterious criminals, dark shadowy conspiracies, and the only good character from LOST. Plus Sam Neil is more than just your typical inscrutable government shadow-man, he plays rough and doesn't worry about head-butting criminals.
Anyone else watching it?

I've watched it.
While Lost grabbed you right out of the pilot, I couldn't say he same about Alcatraz. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't actually good either.
The second episode ended with what can only be described as the typical supposedly mind-fuck Lost-type twist - and I would've been more excited about that if Lost ever managed to actually explain/clear up it's shit in a satisfying way.
So far the characters are too carbon copy to be exciting IMO, so New Hurley is not just a nerd this time around, but also actually owns a comic book store and is also an Alcatraz expert. Madsen is annoying. Hauser apparently knows a lot about what is going on but for some stupid reason doesn't tell the very people that are supposed to help him fix the whole situation.
Besides that, it was ok.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.
Hit it.

I found it ridiciously lame that they ripped of Chigurh's signature weapon (you know, "No Country for Old Men") for a one-off prisoner-of-the-week.
