Captain Eo meets the Borg

Post by FaxModem1 »

So, I went to Epcot recently, and they had Captain Eo; the Michael Jackson, Francis Ford Coppola and George Lucas movie. Watch it here if you can't afford the flight and admission fare.

After Captain Eo's successful mission dealing with the Supreme Leader, his crew and him leave that planet. They then end up in Borg space. How do they fare? Would they be able to use their 'Gift' to convert the Borg Collective? Or would they be assimilated and the Borg will now assimilate planets by dancing?

I think it'll come down to whether the Borg can close the distance quickly enough to use their nanoprobes, before EO uses his magical powers to unassimilate them. Considering how slowly the Borg move, weighed down as they are by all that metal, I don't think they can- at least, not before EO either gets to the Borg Queen, or (realizing there are too many to unassimilate) makes his escape.

Then there are the aliens that EO travels with. Are the Borg able to assimilate life forms with non-humanoid bodies, like the two-headed one? What if the two-headed alien has one head assimilated, but the other one is not? Will he be able to screw with the Collective, the way Picard could in 'First Contact'?
Please do not make Americans fight giant monsters.

Those gun nuts do not understand the meaning of "overkill," and will simply use weapon after weapon of mass destruction (WMD) until the monster is dead, or until they run out of weapons.

They have more WMD than there are monsters for us to fight. (More insanity here.)

Wouldn't the borg nanoprobes be able to fully assimilate a two headed being, as the two heads are connected by the same body?

The robots I'm not so sure about, as the Borg had problems with Data.

I'm thinking the Borg may be confused by the second head, and think the two-headed alien is fully assimilated, when only one of its heads is; you can imagine the control problems that'll arise from that. Of course, we've never seen a two-headed Borg before, so this is only guesswork; the Borg may successfully assimilate the two-headed alien.

Thank you for that fascinating and in-depth critique of a Michael Jackson music video/Disney attraction. Do you have anything else to say about the topic?
