If it's Alaskan, whi did you use Indiegogo instead of Kickstarter? just curious.

Kickstarter only gives you the money if you reach your goal, but Indiegogo lets you use flexible funding. That way, the project still gets all of the money that's been pledged even if it's less than the target.

Thanks! I can't use kickstarter because they use amazon payments, and amazon won't verify a PO box. It's something I could have worked around, but the more I looked into Indiegogo the more I liked it. They don't have gatekeepers, or hand pick front page results. They let everyone use the site and display them based on popularity. They also have a 51% success rate for film projects specifically vs kickstarter's 33% (kickstarter is better for gadgets).

Paypal and flex funding was just gravy

Indiegogo gets less than half of kickstarter's traffic though, so I'm definitely counting on people to spread the word. Thanks again for your help!

essentially the dead robots society is a writer's roundtable of published guys, who also podcast consisting of a Sci-Fi writer, a Horror Writer, and a Porn Writer. but their website and their podcasts have lots of good information.
