Blake's 7 To Be Remade

Cult classic sci-fi series Blake's 7 is to be remade for the Syfy network, it has been announced.

FremantleMedia International said 13 hour-long episodes will be written by Heroes writer Joe Pokaski.

It added, in a statement, that Casino Royale and Goldeneye director Martin Campbell was also on board.

The original series, which ran on the BBC between 1978 and 1981, followed the exploits of a group of renegades and convicted criminals.

So, seems they finally went ahead with what everyone expected. I'm hoping more nBSG than The Prisoner remake. Well, as long as it doesn't end like nBSG did.

I've seen up to midway of Season 3, but I haven't had time to see the rest of the original. I hear Season 3 & 4 are mostly crap anyway.

But this was first reported back in August 2012, and that's the reason I started watching

And the fourth season probably has the best actual space opera so you lose?
