Revolution S1E20- My Thoughts

Post by amigocabal »

I have some observations following the conclusion of the first season of Revolution.
Spoiler
Miles and Bass do not kill each other in the beginning of the episodes. Instead, they alternate between beating each other and trying to survive, both from the defenders of the tower and later from the Monroe Militia.
Spoiler
The lightning strikes near the Tower were the result of Aaron turning the power back on. The nanites had been absorbing electricity, and it is being released. It also explains why the lights turned on all over the world.
Spoiler
How does Neville intend to take over the Monroe Republic? Even if he and his followers make it back to Philadelphia, especially since Monroe escaped? And of course, this assumes Philadelphia is still there when they get there....
Spoiler
Aaron and Rachel restore power to the whole world, which briefly lights up, only for Randall Flynnto waltz into the control rooms and launch nuclear-armed ICBM's at Philadelphia and Atlanta.
Spoiler
We finally learn for whom Randall was working- the President of the United States, leading the U.S. government in exile from the Naval Base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. This implies that those who plotted the Blackout planned everything out, and had a backup plan or ten. (We do not yet know if Gunatanamo was their initial post-Blackout HQ.) Presumanly,. they had a pendant or two or even three.

This also begs the question. Was this U.S. government in exile clandestinely supporting the rebels?
Spoiler
Would the warheads on the ICBM's still detonate after fifteen years of neglect? (This assumes the U.D. government in exile was not secretly maintaining them.
