New Batman Beyond and Justice League Beyond comics out!

Post by Crossroads Inc. »

For those of us that grew up in the late 90's and theearly 2000's, many of us will remember Batman/Superman Adventures Followed by the Justice League which of course was followed by Justice League Unlimited as well as Batman Beyond.

Four separate animated series going spanning 1997 to 2007 and all of it taking place in one contiguous continuity. Which was rather rare, a lot of animated DC Movies and shows were usually "one-offs" taking place in their own little universe, or plucked from various comic series going on. Shows like "Static Shock" and "Teen Titans" or "Young Justice" all took place in a universe separate from any precious, or since.

Well... DC has decided to continue the Justice League universe once again in three new Comics:
Batman Beyond,
Superman Beyond And finally
Justice League Beyond

Only read a few of the comics so far, but what I have read is fantastic! And there is a LOT Of call backs and homage to the original animated series which has been awesome to spot :D Curious if anyone else has read these?

Actually Static Shock was in continuity with the DCAU. There were a couple crossover episodes one of which was the payoff to a Superman episode.

The Zeta Project was also a small part of the DCAU.

Static did a few crossovers with Batman Beyond, I think. But it's been a very long time.

In fact, there was one where he teamed up with Terry McGuire to save the Static of the future. Who is revealed to be a respected senior member of the future Justice League. Meaning that it was a three way crossover between the three shows.

It was an outright time travel story, so naturally I thought it sucked. Really, the best episodes of Static Shock were mostly in the first season and a half before Static's best friend developed superhuman IQ.

JLU had a two parter that crossed over into the future that had Terry and Static that further cemented that they are all in the same universe if you needed it after Terry visits Amanda Whaler in the last episode of JLU season 1.
