A decision must be made in the life of every nation at the very moment when the grasp of the enemy is at its throat. Then, it seems that the only way to survive is to use the means of the enemy, to rest survival upon what is expedient, to look the other way. Well, the answer to that is 'survival as what'? A country isn't a rock. It's not an extension of one's self. It's what it stands for. It's what it stands for when standing for something is the most difficult! - Chief Judge Haywood

Can someone also tell me WHAT the helz is being crossed over?
Aside from a few pics that looked like Thor (Well not THEE Thor, A Thor)
I seriously have no idea what is going on in these.

CrossOver is Fuzzy's TV show, featuring a conflict between a magic sword and sorcery civilization and a high-tech space opera one on an alien world. He was fundraising here for it a while ago.
I'm seriously glad this is going forward, and enjoying the pictures, Fuzzy. But I have to agree about the size. Still looking forward to the show.

The issue I have with the people from that fantasy civilization is that their clothes and armor are too clean and neat. No wear and tear. No scuffing at all. It is as if they all had just come back from a shopping trip.

the problem with the clothes especially with the CGI is that it makes the series look cheaper then it is making less appealing to the average joe (opposed to a scifi/fantasy geek), as few people realise just how expensive movie level CGI can be. I know you don't have the same level of budget as for example Game of Thrones, but some level of wear and tear on the outfits would help to hide that fact, especially for the lower class fantasy side characters but all would benefit from it, basically make it look less like the outfits were made just for this shoot and more like something that was worn even before the story started.

Does it help to know that the Dayside characters are royalty masquerading as common soldiers, and that they've been wearing the clothes less than 24 hours?

well if it's suppose to an effective disguise and not a "role-play" outfit, no, not really cause it either implies that common soldier is too stupid to notice the difference or we're back to square one if the outfits were taken from actual soldiers. You see before industrial era clothes weren't all that cheap so it wouldn't be that odd for clothes to be worn for years as long as they weren't damaged too much.
I'm not saying they should look that they've been drenched in filth and barely holding together but what I'm saying they should look like someone (even if it's not character in question) had worn them before, things like slightly faded colors, few loose threads and so on, maybe look at your closet what clothes that you've worn for while look like. It's unintentionally campy (I assume) if your "low class" (aka the royals posing as one) look like they're constantly wearing their "sunday best" clothes and no-one notices unless you want them to stick out like a sore thumb but then you'd need to show the contrast ASAP so that viewer can tell it as well.

Take a muddy bat to the armor. Dent a few of the metal plates (or whatever you call them). Noticed that one of your actors is a bearded Neil Patrick Harris. Spoiler
I'm assuming, judging by the armor and sword that the bearded NPH is one of the dead?

The show is based on Fuzzy's graphic novel of the same name, which had only a fairly limited release but he did put the first bit online as a sort of preview.

I'm having to add English subtitles for most of the dialogue already for ADR purposes, so it wouldn't be hard to export a separate version with the titles included, which I ought to do for the DVD release anyway.

Thanks Still working on polishing the CG though. Nothing here is a final draft. Not much I can do about the clothes, or anything else I've already filmed, but any of the CG/color correction/composting, etc is very open to critz.
