Foxs' Firefly

Post by Dori-Ma »

What's your opinion of FIREFLY? Will it succed or will it flop?
Soldiers Live. And wonder why.

"It is the soldier, not the reporter, Who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the soldier, not the poet,
Who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, Who has given us the freedom to
demonstrate.
It is the soldier, Who salutes the flag, Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag, Who allows the protester to burn the
flag."

I predict it will be the biggest flob since the XFL.

Its a rip-off of Cowboy Bebop.

As such it must fail hideously!

A rip off of Outlaw-Star?

Hell No!
Outlaw-Star has everything Grappler Ships and mystical guns, Cat-Girls and Ninja Ladies

Cowboy Bebop- Is for lack of a better definition is true Sci-Fi or Relistic Sci-Fi, Though its hundreds of years in the future the people still use Hand-guns, not lasers, They have intersteller truckers, VTOL Space-Craft, No Beam swords or any lasers just Missles and Chain-Guns, They use Chaff aginst missiles not Paritcule Shielding
And above all Cowboy-Bebop, IS Hard Gritty Relistic Charaters... The exception being Mad Pierrot who is a VERY scary ass MoFo and the only one to have any sort of Shield(Kinetic in nature, IE Bullets don't work on him combine with an Anti-Grav Device and I kid you not a Gun-Cane)

Do yourself a favor XaLEv go out and download of Kaazaa or Morphesus the very First Epsoide and you'll see how little of a rip of it is and how good a show it is(Espcialy later on when the main villian shows up though he's only in five or so Epsoides out of Twenty-Six You WILL remeber him)

Or maybe he meant Firefly was a rip-off of Outlaw Star.

Of course, the only anime I've ever seen is NGE, so...

Calm down. I am quite familiar with Cowboy Bebop. I have seen the whole series. I watched Pierrot Le Fou just the other day. What I was saying is that I had heard that Firefly was a rip-off of Outlaw Star. As for your points about the realism of Cowboy Bebop, have you forgotten the Swordfish's plasma cannon? Or the girl from Boogie Woogie Feng Shui?

Now that I have conculed if you watch it backwards in Japanise see says this epsoides is realy what Spike saw when he was reaaaaaaaaaaaaly realy drunk :P

As for the Plasma Cannon I put it down to Spike being able to focus his Charater shielding into a Weapon 8)

Besides those two this it stays resonably close to home

Resonably explinaded as one in a life time freak accident, I'll go with Quantum Mechanics on this one as say on the Marco level such a thing is possible if extremely improbable, in an infine unvierse somthing like this is bound to happen some-where, just because its here does not make it any less odd

when i first heard of it i thought 'hem..maybe' that was until i saw them carrying fucking six shooters and winchesters and shit. And the girl in a box? Outlaw Star anyone? Ba-humbug on all of it. Crash and burn please. If fox wants sucessful sci-fi they should start airing old Dr. Who. Bet that would get some ratings. And a hell of a lot better.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RATIONLISE WHAT MR. BEAN SAYS

:D

Probabilty say that anything is possible at the Quantum level, just extremely improbable :P

However since the Marco level just comes from a ton of atoms at the Quantum level you can extend it to say as anything is possible at the MARCO level to its just extremly more improbable

Meaning that given an infintie universe there will be some werid %%#^#^ shit going on, the fact that it was earth does not make it any more unlikley
