Are we talking many ships against the Pyro-GL? Or is it more like one on one?

The Pyro-GL has the black shark, which is a black hole missile in essence, and that is Material Defender's main advantage.

Me in a Descent 1 Pyro-GX (the GL and its bastard children are simply the product of a bad dream) = Dead Federation Starships.

Photon torps can barely track ships that fly like airplanes. Imagine how they'd react to something that can slide!

Ah...circle-strafing (in all three dimensions), continually firing L4 Quads into the bridge. It'd be a thing of beauty.
