Well? I prefer good old kick ass Kurt Russell myself. Macguyver aint bad, but Kurt is more like an AF Col.

I vote for Kurt. Their characters are actually very different... I think the movie was better than the show, but the show is pretty good. Also watching Dean Anderson in something other than his firearm-allergic, scientific-minded MacGuyver character is refreshing. But I think they overdid their anti-tech a bit :)

I like both equally but for different reasons.

They both fit their roles. You couldn't make the movie or show with their roles reversed. Jack from the movie was meant to be a real military colonel who isn't going to bullshit, while Jack from the show is meant to be more friendly and appealing.

Also, the movie had a very different purpose then the show it spawned. The movie was meant to be grand and awe inspiring, a realistic depiction of an alien yet familiar world. The show is akin to startrek, its meant to be fun at the expense of certain things (such as props, sets, and continuity)

I like RDA more because he, at times does little more than spout one liners while everyone else saves the day.
"Oh no, oh yeah, tell me how can it be so fair
That we dying younger hiding from the police man over there
Just for breathing in the air they wanna leave me in the chair
Electric shocking body rocking beat streeting me to death"

I would have said Kurt "Snake Plisken" Russel but I went with the Jack Burton version. :)
