Best Angel or Archangel
Alright, I know, this is a sci-fi forum, and this is about angels, and most of you don't believe in angels... but heck, this is a poll about the best angels in fiction (then again, what is fiction ? Oh, let's cut that crap out for now).
Right, so who would win ?
Is Tyrael (Diablo 2), responsible for the defeat of the three Prime Evils of Terror, Hatred and Destruction ?
Is it Radiant (magic: the gathering), the opponent of Urza, who tried to safeguard the realm of her creator, Serra ?
Is St. Michael (Catholic Church), Defeater of Satan ?
If it's none of the above (and there should be other angels out there), write down the angel you think is the best.

No, we was a fallen angel, who appears in the Talmud.
Basicly he had the power to create or destroy anything.
He started getting ticked off with god over the massacares, and at one point god asked Uriel/Azreal to kill Lucifer, and Azreal said "Shove off, I don't want to kill anymore."

That was LOKI. Azreal is the guy in the white suit. LOKI was the Angel of Death. I know because I just watched the movie a couple days ago.THe Yosemite Bear wrote:No, we was a fallen angel, who appears in the Talmud.

Yes, they were. (are you following me? ) Archangel was Sinister's pet. He helped Angel when his wings had been broken and destroyed. Gave him new, steel wings and offered him a job as one of the Four Horsemen.IG-88E wrote:I thought they were the same person (Angel became Archangel)
Correct me if I am wrong, please?
See, I'm a Psylock fan (still pissed as HELL they killed her off!), so of course I like Angel.

In the TALMUD
Uriel also called Azreal is the Angel of Death/Angel of Passover
Who told God to shove off.
In DOGMA, he was an Angel who was banished for not wanting to take part in Lucifer's rebellion.

The correct spelling is Azrael, not Azreal (The convention for the Gabriel/Michael/Raphael/Azrael angels - indeed, even the word Angel, I think- comes from the "el" at the end, which comes from the Hebrew for "of God"). I have no idea how he was portrayed in Dogma (I got bored and quit paying attention real early on). However, yeah, he's traditionally the angel of death. And there's a totally sweet statue of him in the Basillica of the Holy Cross at the Valley of the Fallen in Spain (I've got a postcard - it's one of the few pieces of angel artwork where the angel actually looks like the sort of guy that would be a divine messenger).
Metatron's name always makes me think of Megatron, who I think was an enemy of the Transformers.
