A squad of Stormtroopers head to an isolated outpost...

...that has failed to respond to communications. A corvette takes them to the colony and they disembark. The corvette leaves on it's way to another mission.

They search the small scientific outpost and find no sign of it's personnel. When they go to the comm room to report, it is destroyed beyond repair.

Upon seeing this, they decide to wait for the corvette's return (it will return in three days.)

Deciding to bed down for the night, two to a room, half of them sleep while half stand guard outside the rooms.

Unfortunately, two of the sleepers are assimilated by the Thing.

The next day, one of the Things manage to get another unarmored trooper alone and attempts to absorb him, but it is discovered and killed. (The trooper it attacked managed to escape it's grip and remain uninfected)

Now the remaining Stormies, after examining the corpse, are aware of what they're facing, and they suspect it has imitated another of their unit.

The question is, can they discover the imposter in time, or will it get them all? They only have two days to deal with this. Can they succeed?

Being fanatical as Stormies are the Sergeant detonates a thermal detonator in the squads camp to prevent further "enemy infiltration"

The Imposter Eh?

Very simple situation as outline in Stormy Hand-Book section 1001

Whenever a troop shall remove his Armor he shall be SHOT

That or Section 3372
In event of Hostil Alien Infestation each group shall have no less than three to a group along with isolation from each other but within firing range

Standered Stormy Kit contains Stim-pills that will keep one awake weather you like it or not for five days without negative effects

Basicly then they sit in a selected room and aim thier weapons at each other to prevent the infultrator from ganing advantage

Have each of them talk about how they feel about Boba Fett. If one of them thinks that Boba wasn't the favorite then that's the imposter.

I doubt that will work, since the Thing duplicates organisms perfectly, including memory and personality.

Cyril's idea works best for detecting the Thing, since it is essential to prevent it from getting off planet.

Mr Bean: So they should sleep in their armor, too? That seems unreasonable.
