He has taken hits by the hulk, been hitten though a brickwall and has a sewer collapsed on him with machinery and trains from the trains station above. Movie version took an explosive to the face. Also while I don't know if he actaul has style of combat I know he trains intensivly and is one of the masters of hth combat in the marvel universe. He has beaten the x-men team and the fantastic four as examples.
