DP9

Post by The Dark »

I was just wondering if there are any gamers out there who play Dream Pod 9's games (Tribe 8, Jovian Chronicles, Heavy Gear, or Gear Krieg).

Played a bit of Heavy Gear table top and the RPG variant.

Prefer Big Eyes Small Mouth rules. Much more fun with mechs. Loved both of the PC games. And the concept of Gears are damn cool.

Fanatical Jovian Chronicles player. Okay I haven't that many games of it, but I own all but 6 of the books. I own the Heavy Gear rulebook (hardback), I own about 12 Tribe 8 books and have played a fair few games.
Favourite Exo: Venusian Ryu-Bonebreaker.
Favourite Gear: Northern Black Cat.
Favourite Tribe: Dahlian

The Ryu-Bonebreaker? I guess that's OK if you don't mind being the unwitting pawn of an evil conglomeration of corporations (hmmm...kinda makes Venus sound like America...frightening).

Favorite Gear: Northern Grizzly or Peace River Agamemnon (only used in play-testing, it's too rare to actually give to a PC)
Favorite Exo: Jovian Pathfinder Alpha or Stormrider or Prometheus (Green Book)
Favorite Walker: General Early
