Thrawn vs Benedict of Amber

Post by weemadando »

Benedict has one shot at this. Assume that he is aware of his forces tech and capabilities. He cannot use pattern or magic.

Both sides have an Imperial Sector Fleet.

If Thrawn has no knowledge whatsoever of Benny, he has little hope.

Other then being a superb warrior and having a good headstart on anyone else simply by being a Prince of Amber, he has spent almost every day for at least 2000 years learning about any kind of tactics, making small variations of conditions, etc. It is sure that, given the resources of Shadow, he has some knowledge of starfleet warfare. He has the tactical edge on Thrawn.

Thrawn has the technological edge on Benny. We all know of the trick he played with the cloacked asteroids on Coruscant and the excavators. He knows the tech far better then Benny, so he can engineer some pretty deious and nasty traps.

We have seen Benny laying down the Smackdown on people he knew nothing about (the Hellmaids and the Chaosians) but I don't recall Thrawn going against a completely unknown foe.

If Thrawn knows of Benny, he can use attrition to wear his forces down. Given that Benny is used to having infinite resources, I can't see him giving his best in a war of attrition. But in the end, I think he would win anyway.

So, I'd give this to the Master of Arms of Castle Amber.

Benedict. Oh yes, he'll take losses, but he will win. He always wins.

Yea. We should move to something more challenging. Like Oberon vs. Galactus,

Not going the Dworkin vs Galactus quite yet? Or do we want to lull them into a false sense of security?
