Jedi powers or a lightsaber?

Post by Totenkopf »

If Q turned up in front of you and offered you EITHER a real working lightsaber, but no Jedi powers, OR full Jedi powers but no lightsaber, which would you take?

Jedi powers. Lightsabers are cool, but handled wrong you'll lop an arm off. A Jedi without a lightsaber is still a Jedi. An average joe with a lightsaber is self-minced.
Do not meddle in the affairs of insomniacs, for they are cranky and can do things to you while you sleep.

Jedi powers, no contest.

Let's see. On one hand, we have a really cool weapon that can cut through anything, although it's extremely dangerous to use.

On the other hand, we have telekinesis, mild telepathy, low-level mind control, superhuman strength, speed, endurance, agility, and reflexes, and short-term precognition.

How could anyone possibly choose door #1 in this situation?

Of course. It's just like you to choose door #2, if ya know what I mean. :P

Jedi powers, of course!

But...would we still go down that dark path if we weren't careful? Hmm...

Jedi powers. I would have a hard time resisting the dark side, though.

Alright, alright, it was me! I'd have a lightsaber simply because they're cool. Not to mention that I'm the only guy who picked lightsaber, so I'm unique :)

Yeah, but the whole evil guy thing just isn't me. The angst-driven, tormented person maybe, but I'm just not cut out for evil. In Palladium's alignment system, I'm an Unprincipled, not a Miscreant.

*waves hand* You don't want the lightsaber. Give it to me.

And if that doesn't work, there's always telekinesis!

I figure with Jedi power I could build myself a lightsaber, that is if the materials for one exist in our present world. I'll take the Jedi powers thank you, and go about causing havoc for my amusement.

Lightsabre's just technology, force powers can't be manufactured. Plus the subtleness of force powers...so much opportunity for fun.
