Who is your favorite transformer?
Come on now. Everyone of us has grown up with at least 1 transformer series.
Most of you grew up on Generation one, where as I was raised on Beast Wars and in the years of watching the shows, we've all chosen one character who simply is a step above the rest.
For me the answer is simple: Beast Wars Megatron
Besides the fact that he is bad ass in both modes, he did something which no other bad guy in any "kids" show had ever done–win.
Not win a minor skirmish, or a single battle–but the whole damn war. And the best part is– he made the good guys admit it.
Who is it for you?

Are we talking about that incredibly cheesy 80's morning cartoon, or that horrendously bad CGI 'Beast Wars' ditty that's only shown at 6:30 in the morning on the WB?

"The Wire" is the best show in the history of television. Watch it today.

I always liked when Galvatron came back as the wicked-ass gun in the movie.

GALVATRON: I do.

Gotta go with Soundwave and Blaster. Such a cool idea, having the little tapes being Transformers themselves.

Five hundred years ago, everybody knew the Earth was flat, and fifteen minutes ago, you knew that humans were alone on this planet. Imagine what you'll know...tomorrow."

Actually it was like this:
SS: Who disrupts my coronation?!
G: Coronation Starscream? This is bad comedy.
SS: Megatron? Is that you?
G: Here's a hint,
*transforms to cannon mode and disintegrates Starscream with one blast*

Today I found a piece of paper that had badly transcribed lyrics to "The Touch" from TF:TM; I had furiously tried to leanr the lyrics to that song when I was very young.
It wsa just sitting on the desk in the kitchen, turning up after nearly a decade. I guess my mother found it. Strange, ne?

Bumblebee or Mirage. Though some of the micromachine ones were tres cool.

Transformer memories
My favorites were Bluestreak (cool colour scheme), the Powermaster Optimus Prime, the two Headmaster Monstercons and Cloudburst, one of the Autobot Pretenders. The only Transformer that I relentlessly bullied my parents to buy was Jetfire. It might have been based on a much older animé robot, but I still loved it.
However, I do think that the later rip-off releases (especially the Actionmasters) devalued the range. They were running out of ideas and it was pretty obvious that they were desperate to keep finding new 'novelty' ways to sell toys. With that in mind, I think that the Rodimus Prime toy was the very worst ever produced.
Oh, does anyone else here think that the 1980s/90s comic series was far better than the Saturday morning cartoon? I thought that Marvel comics created an excellent set of characters, a coherent back-story and exciting story situations. What a pity that they had to ruin it by forcing the story writers to copy the characterisations and story of the cartoon. Grimlock went from a brilliant, charismatic commander and a brave warrior to a mis-wired moron and who talked like this: "Me Grimlock munch on 'Con!" A traversty!

Shockwave. And I agree that he was pretty formidable. This is the guy who came closest to actually winning the Transformer War.2000AD wrote:Taht purple decepticon with one eye and a gun arm. I can't remember his name but i think he kicks ass.
