Ignoring the Inconsistansies in the hat (slices the head of a marble statue, but can't slice off a human head? ), i'd have to with Oddjob. Accuate Razor hat throwing guts Jaws. Also, Oddjob is probably on par strength wise with Jaws as he was played by an Olympic weight lifter.

Jaws never dies.
He's been crushed between a car and a stone wall.
Been in a car that drove off a cliff.
Been thrown off a train.
Won a fight with a man-eating shark.
Been in a cablecar that crashed through a building which destroyed the cablecar.
Plummeted down a waterfall.
Everytime he just gets up and brushes himself off.

Oddjob's hat doesn't necessarily decapitate people. The girl that was killed by it still had her head attached. It did decapitate a stone statue but its harder to get a good solid hit on a moving target.Exonerate wrote:Even the toughest human can't survive without their head.

Jaws wins. Killing him is a theoretical thing, not something that can be put into practice easily.

Oddjob has been killed by Bond anyway. Someone who is a bad guy and survives two films with Bond is bloody invincible, even being a good guy and surviving that is hard.

This is the famed Hat Inconsistancy. Just how did he kill her with it in a way that didn't produce any blood or even a scratch? The hat is either so powerful it can cut the head off a marble statue or has some mystical power that enables it to kill in some strange way. The only concrete fact we know about it is that it conducts electricity.Darth Servo wrote:Oddjob's hat doesn't necessarily decapitate people. Re: Oddjob Vs. Jaws who would win?
I think the best two evil sidekick types are Oddjob and Grant,Straha wrote:Oddjob the razor hat throwing korean man from goldfinger.
Vs.
Jaws the steel toothed, increadibly strong man from The spy who loved me and moon raker?
Wo would be able to win out of the two best Bond Evil sidekicks?
from "From Russia With Love," but Jaws is a better match for
Oddjob I'd have to agree.
I also have to be very honest: I haven't seen Jaws in action
very often. I absolutely hated Roger Moore's "Bond" movies
for the most part; from everything I can gather, he is
a truly superb man, a humanitarian especially among actors...
but he's not what James Bond should be: a cold-blooded
killer.
I *did* see Jaws getting his ass kicked by Bond and some
woman during a brief viewing of the horrible "Moonraker,"
though. I can tell you this: Oddjob wouldn't be pushed around
by Bond and a woman, let alone three strong men. He was
a powerhouse, capable of crushing a golfball in his hand.
Harold Sakata, the actor that played Oddjob, wasn't very far
off from Oddjob's capabilities either. In "The Making of
Goldfinger," we saw what Sakata looked like in the wrestling
ring. Wow. I'm a bodybuilder, and I scoff when people say
guys of Arnold's era were [by default] "massive." But Harold
WAS massive, about 280! He wasn't a very tall man, either.
I'd have to say he'd be able to match Jaws' strength. With
his hat, however, it'd never come to that. Oddjob might be
taciturn, but he's got a range weapon and no real deficit
if and when it came to hand-to-hand.
Jaws' lasting through a couple of movies is a poor indication
of his toughness anyway, IMO. What killed Oddjob would kill
him, too. And even the burlier Connery-Bond couldn't even
slow Oddjob down, though he did at least make Jaws struggle
with the help of a woman as mentioned above.
Besides, what's cooler than a badass guy that smiles when you
pelt him with gold bars, is a shitty slow driver (from the "Goldfinger"
book), and can only bark, "Ah-ah!" Next to him Jaws just looks
like some idiot that had misfitted braces

Burlier Connery-Bond couldn't slow Oddjob down, yet
the far wimpier Roger Moore-Bond COULD slow Jaws
down with a woman's help.

The only Moore film I really liked was The Man With the Golden Gun. Oddjob wins.
