Save Firefly!--

Cowboys in space done wrong. What a lovely thing to save. Even Cowboy Bebop did it better and that was a lower budget animation. e_e

Firefly is far superior to Cowboy Bebop. Don't make me hurt you.

Don't try it buddy. I'm on his side. Cowboy Bebop was much, much better than Firefly was. Better, more distinctive characters and a lot of the wit and humor that Firefly lacked at times.

Unfortunate for you. I find it quite difficult to search any Firefly episode(with the exception of 'The Train Job' which was the network's fault) and not find ample wit, humor, and drama.

It had it's moments, but they were moments rather than interwoven like Buffy and Angel at their best. It was good, better than anything else in production at the time, but it was really a let down compared to what it could have been.

How so? I just don't think it was lacking. There just wasn't the mix of elements that I would have liked to see. It just didn't seem like a Joos Whedon show.

And the characters just never seemed as real and three dimensional as the Bebop crew does. They just didn't develop enough for me; they just stayed too carboard cut-outish.

The show had 11 episodes, shown out of order. With that in mind, you really can't judge character development.

I'll grant you that but Crusade did a better job than Firefly did and it had a worse problems. And Cowboy Bebop has only a little more time in total and did a better job as well.

I'm not saying Firefly wasn't good but itcould have been a lot better IMO.

The difference between Firefly and Bebop, is that when Bebop was taken off the station that first picked it up in Japan, another one picked it up. Firefly is gonna fade away since UPN is probably sick of picking up leftover sci fi television shows.

I tell you what though, if Firefly is to be spared then bring back SAAB, a better show by far.

Has anyone else seen the "Addicted to Stress" music video for Cowboy Bebop? Not sure if that's the actual song title, but it's the most memorable phrase.

I never saw Firefly, but I think that Cowboy Bebop is vastly overrated. People have been saying it's the Number One Anime, when it doesn't come even close.
I am capable of rearranging the fundamental building blocks of the universe in under six seconds. I shelve physics texts under "Fiction" in my personal library! I am grasping the reigns of the universe's carriage, and every morning get up and shout "Giddy up, boy!" You may never grasp the complexities of what I do, but at least have the courtesy to feign something other than slack-jawed oblivion in my presence. I, sir, am a wizard, and I break more natural laws before breakfast than of which you are even aware!

Liked it better than EVA...and what little I saw of Firefly...it needed a bit more oomph...some good stuff but not enough of it.

Why Bebop is better then Firefly:

1 - Good Music
2 - Doesn't try too hard to be cool
3 - Set in very well thought out places (no cowboys on horseback or people burning others on a stake for being a witch even tho THEY live on another planet)
4 - Ed.
5 - Ein.
6 - Ed and Ein.

Need I say more? XP

11) The ending.

Now I may not care much for Bebop, but the ending kicked ass, especially since they had most of the series steadily building to that point.
