I think Clive Barker's style is more subtle and psychological. RayCav is more upfront and NC-17+.

Barker's impact is more lasting since it affects our minds more deeply.

RayCav's, on the other hand, simply makes people vomit more.

As for who's more deranged, I say both are.

Barker's deranged in a deep, psychological way, while RayCav's derangedness is a more frenetic, carnal, primal, frenzy-like mentality.

Sorry, I was watching TV someone brought up Ray Cav. while I saw an ad for Hellraiser at the sametime.

Mind you, when I was R.C.'s age I was reading Books of Blood, Cabal & much of Lovecraft's works. Mind you Barker has mellowed out some what in his more recent works (Gallie),
