Post by The Black Jesus »

Peter Pan and Blackbeard are the commanders of their respective ships

The greek navy is, the greek navy (assume they're in their prime)

Umm... well, assuming you mean the Athenian navy, Mr. Pan and Blackbeard are screwed, by sheer numbers alone. Their ships would quickly be boarded by Athenian hoplites.

I think the flying peter pan and the on fire blackbeard will get points on appearance alone. . . especially when the cannons fire.

greeks: we are fighting the GAWDS!

A lone MEKO 200 destroys Blackbeard ship with a couple rounds of five inch. One of there destroyers could just ram.

Peter Pan flies above the rest, but can't kill any hoplites due to their armor and long spears. But he can tear their sails apart. Nuff said.

Why the hell would a trireme rely on sails?

Assuming this is in the days of the Persian Wars (How the hell could a pirate ship stand to the modern Greek navy?) the cannons would wear down a few ships, though it would be hard to destroy en entire fleet coming head on at you, for those who don't know, Athenian ships of that day had an approx 2ft long brass ram on the front, designed to put holes in ships. I put this to the Athenians.

I actually used something I learned in ancient history.

in a straight on fight? I'm betting the greeks. but I think the greeks would have a bunch of panic tests seeing cannons, blackbeard (he caused fear in his own day) and pan.
