Of course Fantasy gets the worst trolls. We're the place where comics are debated. I've finally made headway against the 'MAGIC CAN'T BE ANALYZED' retards, but comicwhores.. Another mountain.

Seriously. We exist so the pretty-boys of OSF don't get their hands dirty with the big, bad comic fanwhores. *Ducks incoming abuse*

I'm suprised he was bitching about the mods insulting him and then locking the thread he was posting in. Most places don't insult you first, but here mods give people like him that extra special touch that shows they care. :)

LOL...c'mon you can't tell me while we both groan along with others who tangle with these folks that every once in a while it's funny to see how one these bitches react when their precious character is whomped and all they have left is telling you off by screaming how dare you use "Logic and science" in a genre that seems to be void of it, and thus showing everyone they've yet to graduate Grade 8. :D

But we get the Honorverse wankers, as well as Omega-13 and Zor with his "how many Klingons/Jaffa/chimps with an AK47" hipothetical senarios. Its not quite clear who's worse off here.

Have a very nice day.

Not true. That leaves the B5, Andromeda, and Weberverse (at least Honorverse) fanwhores to deal with.

Dragonball Z. We haven't gotten any lately, but we have to deal with those wankers. And it doesn't really get worse. Well, outside of fundies.

My personal favorite is anything at the battle of Helms Deep. WTF was so interesting about Helms Deep that everyone from ripped shirt Kirk to Robocop appears in those threads?

It's really a rather uninteresting battle, and not exactly a difficult scenario. If you look at the assault we saw in the movie, a sufficiently wide and deep moat before the outer wall would have pretty much stopped that assault dead in its tracks.

Good point. It's not like they didn't have a ready supply of water either. I guess the only problem would then be if the moat freezes over in the winter time. Even then an army trying to cross ice that may or may not break is still going to take more effort than moving across dry land.

I still think some magonel (spelling?) would have owned there. The catapult things that throw bucket-fulls of smaller rocks? Anti-infantry weapon on a large scale? And also, would a catapult with a basket full of arrows be able to throw them into an effective arc?

Boiling oil on top of the gate house might have been useful, as well as large ballista... nothing like getting a 4' stake shot through you and the guy behind you to ruin your day... oh yeah, can't forget about the burning oil either.

Question: why don't they come here? Even the execrable Adam Warlock (who is a grade-A lying shitheel moron for having fraudulently pretended to be a P.Eng in the past, on Brian's old dreambook) doesn't show his wormy little head around here too often. You can smack down Trekkie stupidity a hundred times and some other moron like "Fleet Admiral Thompson" or "Stewart at SDI" will still show up sooner or later to conveniently make an ass of himself, but the Rabid Fivers seem to keep their distance from this place. Is it because the main site doesn't talk about B5 at all? Or is it because they're afraid to expose their ridiculous idiot-wank outside of "safe" environments?

THAT'S AN IDEA: ST VS B5! THEN THE EMPIRE PASTES EM BOTH FOR SHITZ N GIGGLEZ!!!!!11

I'd like to see a matchup between the Feds and EA analyzed like the Feds-vs-Empire one on the main site...

it does seem like the vast majority of rabid trekkies come on here want to argue against a point on the main site. . . .

We have a reputation as site that does not play nice and shouts down the opposition with a plethora of curses and verbal abuse and somewhere in there I think is a logical rebuttal to their arguments but that part gets forgotten when describing our reaction to fanwhores by self same fanwhores. Maybe we should tone down our volume a little Mike and they might come out to play.

I direct you to alt.startrek.vs.babylon-5.

Yes, it exists. No, it's not active any more (I guess support for it died out around the same time that B5 itself went the way of the dodo).

You know perfectly well that the sort of people who run around screaming about our unfairness would say the same thing regardless of how we behaved. Dr. Saxton is always a gentleman, yet people still run around calling him a wildly biased fan-whore and totally unfair, yadda yadda yadda. People bashed Brian Young, sent him threats of violence, etc. I still figure they'd come here occasionally, even if only to speak their minds about what evil scum we are. Perhaps there just aren't that many rabid fivers out there.

Actually, I'm mistaken. It's alt.startrek.vs.babylon5, and it's still (marginally) active.
