SDN Wars: A Galaxy Divided: OOC
Re: SDN Wars: A Galaxy Divided: OOC
Thanas should already know this, but for everyone else:
Each convoy consists of 1 Munificent Frigate, 2 Hardcell Corvettes and 2 Marauder Corvettes.
Note that both the Munificent and Hardcells carry a good share of the cargo, which reduces the amount of freighters significantly.
I also have an anti-piracy strikeforce of 2 Victory Star Destroyers, 1 Providence Carrier and 10 Marauder Corvettes.
It is used to patrol all areas where pirates attack, hopefully tracking down their base and attempting to destroy it.
Regards

Re: SDN Wars: A Galaxy Divided: OOC
I don't trade much but my convoys will have a pair of Carrack cruisers, Four Marauder corvettes, and depending on the cargo value a Venator carrier. However I would be more interested in armed and escorted patrols trying to jump a toll or pirates trying to raid ships as they are processed through checkpoints near my Asteroid toll station.
EDIT: I also missed a faction or two on the trade routes I'm making trouble along, I'll be making an edit to my IC post soon but if you're along either the Rimma or Corellian Trade Spine lanes assume you'd have a message.

As a general note my convoys are small and only defended by 2 gunships a Corvette leader and a Maurauder as a patrol carrier. If the pirates strike in my territory There is a very good likelihood of Escot carrier presence prepared to deter attacks.
However Thanas I have a proposal for pirate action that I want to run past you, I will be PMing you shortly.

My convoys usually have two corevettes (either Corillean gunships or CR90s) per 4-5 freighters. High security convoys (ie, prisoner transports, Ysalamiri shipments) will have a Dreadnought or Frigate or two attached, plus perhaps a Bulk Cruiser.

Pirate attacks have started, you may respond whenever you wish. Remember - you do not need to defeat the pirates to win. You just need to hold them off to have the convoy escape. I hope I have not forgotten anyone, if so, please send a PM to Thanas.

My laptop died. I might not have internet access over the weekend, so please be patient with me.

Good news: I should have the laptop back by thursday. So until then, I have to ask for your patience as all my data regarding the game (including the written out storyposts) are on it.

And the laptop repair takes a bit longer than I had thought. This is especially bad news since all my pictures are on it. I'll try and get something up regardless either today or tomorrow, though.
